Sneak Peek: Baby Planet’s Sturdy (and Stylish) Strollers for 2010

Courtesy of Baby Planet

When it comes to eco-friendly strolling, Baby Planet leads the pack.

Their commitment to designing well-made, stylish strollers made of materials that are safe for baby — and the environment — is unsurpassed.

New this year is the Endangered Species collection, which includes the Monarch Butterfly, Giant Panda and Lemur Leaf Frog (each $170).

Not only do these redesigned strollers offer numerous improvements over the previous model, but they were created to help raise awareness to the plight of animals that are close to extinction.

They’ve also partnered up with timi & leslie for a chic line of strollers ($190 each) that allow you to match your ride with your diaper bag.

From pretty paisley to cool graphic prints, they’re available in four trend-worthy patterns — Sahara, Mackenzie, Felicity and Zoey.

Check out the all of the new 2010 styles at Baby-Planet.com.

Soledad O’Brien and Girls’ Gala Grins

Steve Mack/Getty

Soledad O’Brien brought her girls — Cecelia, 8, and Sofia, 9½ — to the Seventh Annual Wayuu Taya Foundation Gala, held Thursday at the Stephen Weiss Studio in New York City.

The In America host, 43, is also mom to 5½-year-old twin sons Charlie and Jackson with husband Bradley Raymond.

“They are allowed to watch the news, and I watch it with them,” O’Brien tells PEOPLE Moms & Babies of her work.

“I think it’s only scary when there’s no context. When you’re seven or eight years old and you have no one to question, you need some reassurance.”

Green Alert! Nook Unveils Organic Mix-And-Match Bedding

Courtesy of Nook

Just when we thought that nursery linens couldn’t be more luxe, Nook has taken it to the next level.

Their brand new collection of mix-and-match bedding and accessories is eye-popping — to say the least. Their super soft fitted crib sheets ($60), blankets ($74), pillows ($38) and napsacks ($48) feature bold patterns in coordinating colors of sea glass, daffodil, lawn, bark, blossom and poppy.

And just as they did with their groundbreaking pebble mattress, Nook keeps the focus squarely on safety. Each piece of bedding is crafted with an oxygen-infused organic cotton and eucalyptus fabric blend, which helps babies maintain their natural temperature.

Teri Hatcher: Unrealistic Expectations Lead to Public Tantrums

Gilbert Flores/Celebrity

The public tantrum is a scenario most parents will eventually encounter, but Teri Hatcher never has.

Mom to 12-year-old Emerson Rose, the Desperate Housewives star concedes that it is an enviable position to be in.

“I know, hate me,” she quips to Babble.

All joking aside, Hatcher opines that tantrums occur when “we put our children in situations we have no right to.”

“We push them when they are tired; we create a behavior reward system with everything from food to stickers to toys,” she elaborates. “That will always backfire.”
