Enjoying a sunny day out in Santa Monica, Calif. on Friday, Alyson Hannigan smiles while carrying daughter Satyana Marie, 14 months.
Satyana is the first child for the How I Met Your Mother star and husband Alexis Denisof.
“I could watch her all day long, just to see her discovering new things,” Hannigan, 36, said recently.
“I’m so fascinated by her.”

It looks like Jerry Seinfeld isn’t the only comedian in his clan.
“Everyone says Sascha is exactly like me,” said Jessica Seinfeld of their 9½-year-old daughter at the fourth annual Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash in Central Park on Thursday. “But she’s also really funny and very dry and witty, so I think that’s Jerry.”
As for their two other children, Julian Kal, 7, and Shepherd Kellan, 5½, Seinfeld admits her sons may have received some of their parents’ not-so-great traits.
“One of my sons can be a bit cranky, so that’s a little bit of both Jerry and I for sure,” she says with a laugh. “We’re just trying to figure out who’s what, but no pressure on anyone. They can only be who they are.”

Sharing smiles, James Van Der Beek gives expectant girlfriend Kimberly Brook a squeeze at the Kari Feinstein MTV Movie Awards Style Lounge, held Friday at Montage Beverly Hills.
With their first child on the way this fall, the former Dawson’s Creek star, 33, and Brook are back in Los Angeles after spending the spring in the Big Apple as Van Der Beek filmed Mercy, which has since been canceled.
“No more Mercy on NBC,” the actor Tweeted recently.
“My thanks to the writers, cast & crew for welcoming me with such open arms. Had a blast. Psyched about what’s next…”

Christina Aguilera has more to worry about than whether or not you dig her latest single.
The songstress and mom says even though she’s excited about the release of her new album, Bionic, getting back into the swing of things doesn’t come without a cost.
“The toughest part is the schedule — balancing that between being a mommy and being able to still concentrate and focus on the work,” Aguilera, 29, told PEOPLE at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday at Gibson Amphitheatre in L.A.
“I’ll go and tuck my son in at night and sing him to sleep [with] a lullaby, and then I go in the studio and sing. It’s definitely a challenge and a balancing act, but one that I take on. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
