Marisol Nichols: Daughter Rain Actually Loves the Rain!

Life is wonderfully hectic for Marisol Nichols these days.

Currently filming a new ABC drama, The Gates, in Louisiana, the actress is blissfully raising her first child, daughter Rain India, 20 months, and relishing in her new roles on and off screen.

Though director husband Taron Lexton is at home in Los Angeles working on projects of his own, the pair is making long-distance marriage work (she’ll be home in August!) while watching Rain grow up.

Nichols recently took some time out from shooting The Gates to talk to PEOPLE Moms & Babies about Rain’s recent milestones, definite plans for baby number two and her temporary new Louisiana life.

Kyra Sedgwick Bracing For an Empty Nest

For actors Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, family life began on a whim.

While honeymooning in 1988, “We were like, ‘Let’s just not use birth control,’” the star of TNT’s The Closer recalls in a new interview with MORE magazine.

“I didn’t think it was going to happen so fast,” she adds. “I got pregnant in two weeks.”

Son Travis, 21 this month, recently completed his junior year at college, and 18 years after saying hello to daughter Sosie Ruth, Sedgwick and Bacon are once again preparing to say goodbye.

Of her rapidly approaching empty nest, Sedgwick muses, “It’s like, you’ve had this job forever, it’s the job you always wanted to do, and you were pretty good at it … Then you get fired for no reason!”

World Cup Cuties: Matthew and Levi McConaughey Cheer On Brazil

Matthew McConaughey has never been shy about his love for the University of Texas Longhorns.

But now that the 2010 World Cup is in full swing, he’s following another kind of football courtesy of Brazilian girlfriend, Camila Alves.

During a visit to an N.Y.C. fire station on Tuesday, Matthew and his lil guy Levi rocked matching Brazil soccer jerseys.

But it looks like the tyke may turn out to be a bigger sports fan than dad!

Later that day, the 23-month-old made a quick change into a second Brazil soccer T-shirt (below).

Alyson Hannigan carried daughter Satyana Marie, 14 months, while out and about in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Tuesday.

Satyana is the first child for the How I Met Your Mother star and husband Alexis Denisof.

“I could watch her all day long, just to see her discovering new things,” Hannigan, 36, said recently.

“I’m so fascinated by her.”

Tori Spelling’s ‘Guncles’ Are New Dads!

It’s a girl for the Guncles!

Bill Horn and Scout Masterson, Tori Spelling’s dear friends and regulars on her reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, have welcomed daughter Simone Lynn Masterson-Horn, who was born last week weighing 6 lbs., 2 oz. and measuring 18 inches long.

Simone is the first child for the couple, whom Spelling lovingly refers to as “Gay Uncles” to Liam, 3, and Stella, 2, her kids with husband Dean McDermott.

“Dean and I are beyond happy that Scout and Bill’s dreams of becoming parents have come true. Little Simone couldn’t have two better loving and deserving dads,” Spelling tells PEOPLE exclusively.
