Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus to Be a Dad!

Come January, Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus’s house will get little louder — and he can’t wait.

“I’m looking forward to hearing the pitter-patter of little feet around the house and all of that wonderful stuff,” DeMarcus tells PEOPLE after sharing the news that he and wife Allison — a presenter on CMT and a former Miss Tennessee — are expecting their first child.

“I’m most looking forward to making wonderful memories — the first days of school, summertime with them, taking them to Disney World. I’m ready to be a father!”

The couple tried for a baby for a couple of years before success and DeMarcus says it makes the happy news “a little sweeter. I feel like we have a victory because of it.”

“When we stopped trying to plan it out and stopped worrying about it, it happened very naturally.”

The-Dream: It’s Easy Raising a Baby When You’re Rich Like Me

Christina Milian‘s hubby The-Dream may be experienced when it comes to raising babies (he has three children with ex-wife Nivea), but the singer-songwriter and record producer, 28, says the fourth time around has been the most simple.

“This time’s easier because I’m rich now,” The-Dream, born Terius Nash, told PEOPLE Moms & Babies at the BET Awards Sunday.

“When I had my 5-year-old, I was up all night and paying for milk with the last couple of cents I had, so it’s a little easier now.”

Looks like rock star style runs in the family!

Nicole Richie escorts her Mohawk-sporting son Sparrow James Midnight, 9 months, on a shopping adventure with Joel Madden and daughter Harlow, 2 (not pictured), on Monday in Studio City, Calif.

Richie — who says she and her Good Charlotte frontman fiancé call their son “Row” — explains that their children’s naming pattern was unintentional.

“I didn’t even realize that [both of their names] ended with ‘ow,’” she explained recently. “I love the name Willow, and now that’s out because I’m not gonna have all kids with ‘ows!’”

Anja Louise Mazur sticks her tongue out at the paparazzi — and mom Alessandra Ambrósio can’t contain her laughter! — while spending some time at the Malibu Country Mart on Sunday in California.

The 22-month-old is the only child for the Victoria’s Secret model and her fiancé Jamie Mazur, and Ambrósio, 29, says she has a strong support system in her fellow model mamas Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Karolína Kurková and Gisele Bündchen.

“[We] talk about nannies, baby furniture, baby clothes, all baby stuff. I’m so happy we can all have play dates together.”
