Danica McKellar Feeling ‘Much More Normal’ in Second Trimester

In an effort to ward off “big blob” syndrome, expectant actress Danica McKellar says she’s staying fit with maternity workout DVDs.

“Exercising makes my muscles feel good, it gets the energy and blood pumping,” she tells PEOPLE Moms & Babies at Sunday’s Pregnancy Awareness Month kick-off, held at Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills.

It wasn’t always so easy, however! McKellar, 35, admits that first trimester fatigue was a surprise.

“I was really tired all the time,” she recalls. “In my second trimester now, I’m starting to get more energy so I feel so much more normal and exercise is definitely a part of that.”

Diet is equally important to the former Wonder Years star, who has recently been noshing on hearts of palm and yogurt.

“I’ve been eating really healthy anyway, even if I do have unhealthy cravings, I don’t indulge in them,” she reveals.

Mario Lopez proudly shows off girlfriend Courtney Mazza‘s growing belly at Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, held at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

With their first child due this fall, the Extra host says he and Mazza, 28, are currently discussing what to call their baby.

“I don’t know what to do about the name thing,” Lopez, 36, admits.

“I like names that mean something. I don’t want to get too creative.”

Fresh off their Hawaiian vacation, the Simpson-Wentz family gets back to nature with a hike through Runyon Canyon Park in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday.

Pete and Ashlee had jetted off to Kentucky to enjoy a little couple time at the Derby on Saturday, but were soon back with their boy, 17-month-old Bronx Mowgli.

The trio certainly likes to spend their time outdoors — we also spotted them bonding at the beach!

Spotted: Jerry O’Connell and His Barefoot Babies!

Toting his twins, Jerry O’Connell was spotted bringing daughters Dolly Rebecca Rose (l) and Charlie Tamara Tulip (r) to play at an indoor gym Thursday in Los Angeles, Calif.

The 16-month-old girls sported bare feet and matching smiles as they made their way in!

The actor recently said that he and wife Rebecca Romijn consider date nights a top priority — and make use of the grandparents!

“We throw the kids at them and then we’ll take off for a couple of hours,” Jerry explains.

“Even a quiet dinner at Chili’s away from the kids is just — I love them! — [but] it’s a relief!”
