Emily Mortimer Swears By Dry Shampoo – and Spanx!

Mom-of-two Emily Mortimer felt the pressure to bounce back after welcoming her daughter May Rose in January — but fortunately, she had a bit of help!

“You don’t really want to or feel like parading yourself about town [if you] look like a house. There’s pressure if you have to have your photograph taken,” the actress, 38, tells Babble.

“But Spanx are amazing. Whoever came up with them — it’s the most genius invention of the 21st century. I have more than one pair on.”

Realizing that time is precious when it comes to raising May, 4 months, and son Sam John, 6½, Mortimer has even found a way to postpone showers.

“Dry shampoo is the best! You can just put it in your hair, and you don’t have to take a bath for about three days,” she says. “With the help of Spanx and dry shampoo, I’m more able to face the world.”

Spotted: Christina Aguilera and Max – Hip Check

Another day, another New York City stroll!

Christina Aguilera and her toddler son Max Liron, 2, stay color-coordinated in the Big Apple on Thursday.

The singer, 29, who’s in Manhattan to promote her new album, Bionic, recently returned from a trip to Haiti with husband Jordan Bratman.

“I was so moved by the devastation in Haiti but also by the spirit of its people,” Aguilera, an Ambassador Against Hunger for the World Food Programme, said in a statement.

“[The children] have such joy and are eager to learn despite the destruction around them.”

Alessandra Ambrósio and daughter Anja Louise take a spin on the slide on Wednesday in the West Village.

The Victoria’s Secret model, 29, and her 20-month-old Big Apple baby were also spotted playing in the sandbox.

Anja — who mom says is “the cutest thing in the world, she melts my heart” — is Ambrósio’s first child with fiancé Jamie Mazur.

Mira Sorvino Says ‘Kids Suffer’ with Sitters

Oscar winner Mira Sorvino has stepped back from the spotlight — and she’s never been happier.

“I don’t want to take time away from my kids. I used to work all year long and basically live in hotel rooms,” she admits to PARADE.

Still occasionally lending her talents for smaller roles, Sorvino’s priorities have shifted to her children — Mattea Angel, 5½, Johnny Christopher King, 3½, and Holden Paul Terry, 10 months — with husband Christopher Backus.

Willing to admit a balance may exist when it comes to juggling career and family, for Sorvino the choice was obvious.

“Somewhere I guess there is a middle ground, but you see your kids suffer when you leave them with someone else,” she opines.

“Kudos to women who can pull that off, but I don’t want my kids raised by nannies.”
