Rebecca Romijn Tries to Teach Twins Tag

Jim Spellman/WireImage

At only 16 months old, Rebecca Romijn‘s twin daughters’ “completely different” personalities are already shining through.

Dolly is a little bit of a wild child and Charlie is very safe,” Romijn told PEOPLE Moms & Babies at a Huggies Jeans Diapers event in New York City Thursday.

“They’re so active right now. They just literally run off in opposite directions,” the actress, 37, explains.

“When you’re the only one who’s taking care of them, it’s scary sometimes. I’ve been trying to organize it by teaching them how to play tag [but] they’re not quite grasping the concept. We’re still working on that!”

Courtesy of Eco-Stars

Coloring’s a fun family activity that never goes out of style. But plain old crayons can be so blah. Bring the fun back with Eco Stars ($9) star-shaped crayons. Not only are they non-toxic, they’re also made of 100 percent recycled crayons that have been collected from the National Crayon Recycle Program.

Available in 20 primary colors, they also come in a super cute eco-friendly brown box. Even better: The sturdy shape makes them easy to grip — perfect for pint-size fingers.

Vanessa Williams: I’ve Matured As a Mother

Courtesy Working Mother

Since welcoming her first child at age 24, Vanessa Williams‘ kids and career have always gone hand-in-hand.

“Just eight weeks after I’d had my second child, I had to go to England to promote my album for 10 days,” the singer/actress tells Working Mother in their June/July issue.

“So I dragged my breast pump through airport security. I was so weepy to be leaving my newborn.”

And while she always managed to be a consistent presence in Melanie, 22, Jillian, 20, Devin, 17, and 10-year-old Sasha Gabriella‘s lives, Williams admits in retrospect that she would have done things differently given a second chance.

“Maybe 10 years later, I’d have said no to the trip. As you get older, you get stronger and more confident, and you get more accustomed to saying no and to knowing your boundaries,” she says. “Things change as you mature.”

Padma Lakshmi: Krishna Is a ‘Delight in Every Way’

Andrew H. Walker/Getty

As a new mother to 3-month-old daughter Krishna Thea, Padma Lakshmi relishes in the simplicities of motherhood.

“I love to rock her to sleep, just to nurse her and hold her,” Lakshmi told Moms & Babies Thursday at the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s second annual Blossom Ball at the New York Public Library.

“She’s a delight in every way and everything is better with her around.”

The Top Chef host and co-founder of the foundation certainly has reason to be delighted.

While Lakshmi, 39, suffered for years from endometriosis, the proud mother is “eager to see” her baby girl’s “quirks and idiosyncrasies.”

“Her personality is bubbling forth,’ says a smiling Lakshmi. “I think we all egotistically say she has the eyes of this person or the humor of that person. I’m sure that’s true but when I look at Krishna, I think of her. I don’t see other people.”
