Spotted: Jamie Foxx’s Idol Date – Corinne!

Say cheese! Jamie Foxx and daughter Corinne, 15, pose for a photo during Tuesday’s American Idol taping in Los Angeles.

The star-studded events that the singer/actor is able to take his teen to just aren’t that impressive, Foxx joked recently.

“The friends that she goes to school with, their parents are much richer and a lot more famous,” he confesses. “They’re like, ‘Yeah, your dad sings? My dad owns the record company.’”

im kind of put off by this comment. JMO, i think it shows bad taste and bragging rights about his child’s school of rich and famous. oh gina these are barely ‘real’ people their lives are so completely different, and he was just being funny. he’s also known to be huge jerk like that too! Very funny moment on Idol last night when his daughter booed Simon. She looked at him like sorry dad, and he was mouthing ‘you’re not supposed to boo’ to her.

She’s very beautiful. I love Jamie Fox. He’s got such a great sense of humour and that comment is hilarious. He’s actually trying to down play his own fame. Gina you need to get a grip. Life’s serious enough without looking to create your own drama wherever you can.

Hahaha….Gina girl I think it was a joking comment nothing to get to wrung out about.

Comedians have a very warped sense of humour sometimes so you just have to go with the flow.

Aside from that I think Miss Corrine has blossomed into a beautiful young lady. I think about now Jamie needs to get out the garden hose and the baseball bats to keep those young lads away…lol

Actually some of the comments here offended me. From my point of view Jamie Foxx was only being partly facetious in that quote. He is also speaking to disparities and social issues that are still deeply embedded in U.S. institutions, including education and entertainment.

Considering where Jamie is from and who he is I am sure this is him expressing his awareness of existing race & class dichotomies that exist in society and the world he is exposing his child to.

Please stop judging!!! That quote was taken out of context and came from an interview with David Letterman months ago.
