Get Ready to Squee: Babies Hits Theaters

Courtesy of Focus Features

Here at PEOPLE Moms & Babies, we love anything having to do with, well, babies!

That’s why we’re excited to see Focus Feature‘s latest film, Babies, which hits theaters today.

The documentary follows four adorable tots from around the world (Namibia, United States, Mongolia and Japan) from birth till they take their first steps.

It also examines all aspects of early human life — sibling rivalry, health, safety, new motherhood — while highlighting the different cultural norms of parenting from each country.

For example, you won’t see a goat drinking from a baby’s bathtub in America!

Bottom line: It’s cute, yet poignant and educational. We can’t think of a sweeter way to spend the weekend — expect for celebrating our moms on Sunday, of course!

Check out the trailer below for a sneak peek.

Love the goat in the end!! We have goats as pets and they are always nibbling at my baby boy when we go out for walks haha, he thinks it’s funny when they come in the house and bounce on the couch!

I am so excited to see this movie I can’t even explain it! To see how children grow up in different parts of the world [from birth] is sure to be incredible : )

Ok, just watched the trailer and was brought to tears by how realllly funny and sweet it was! I never actually thought about the fact that “babies were babies” and our love for them really has no borders until now…I think this film is bound to be really eye opening : )
