With its sturdy base and oversize wheels, the Italtrike Pilot 200 Wheel Scooter ($190) helps toddlers polish up their balancing skills. Plus, it’s free of pinch points which means mini fingers and feet are safe from injury. Added bonus: The scooter — which was made in Italy — comes with a 5-year warranty.

A celeb favorite (John Moynahan and Matilda Ledger are also fans), the Micro Mini Kick Scooter ($80) is super kid-friendly. The wide kickboard allows little drivers to switch feet easily, while the high quality wheels make for a smooth sail.

There will be no slipping and sliding on Razor Jr.‘s Folding Kiddie Kick Scooter ($40) thanks to the slip-resistant wide deck. Plus, the scooter folds flat which makes it easy to carry and store!

We live in an urban environment, and our 3 YO received a Micro MiniKick for her birthday this past winter. Within ONE DAY she was zooming around corners, balancing with one foot on the brake, and zipping along the sidewalks. We were totally amazed!

Pretty much every kid her age in the neighborhood has some kind of scooter, but this particular one seems to be the BEST! I regularly get stopped by parents and grandparents wanting to know what it is and where to get one. Worth EVERY PENNY!

My son got the MiniKick for Christmas (He was 2 years 9 months) and quickly mastered it as well, zooming and turning everywhere. I love it- I want one in my size!

It’s nice to see a product that has been loved for so long and still is loved. I had a wooden one as a kid!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
