Levi’s a True McConaughey: No Shirt, No Problem!

Fame, Ramey

Like father, like son!

Taking a cue from his famously laid-back dad, Matthew McConaughey, Levi went shirtless during a scenic walk April 1 in Los Angeles. The budding nature-lover, 20 months, even stopped to pick some plants on his way.

We bet this isn’t the last we’ll see of a bare-chested Levi. After all, he is the child of the same guy who pulled a full monty while playing bongos.

Tell us what you think: Too cute or too much?

Brian Austin Green: Why I Filmed New PSA

Michael Buckner/Getty

The budgetary shortfall in California is being felt acutely in public schools, but the parent of one student is stepping up to the plate.

Actor Brian Austin Green — father of Kassius Lijah, 8 — recently filmed a PSA alongside girlfriend Megan Fox to draw attention to the crisis, and tells PARADE he was happy to help.

“I was getting e-mails constantly from other parents like, ‘The kids are running out of paper. Can anybody help? And they need pencils too,’” Green, 36, recalls.

“The reality is that my son goes to one of the better public schools. I can’t imagine what some of the other schools in California are dealing with.”

In the video — filmed at Kassius’ school with real parents, students and teachers — Green concedes the couple take “some pretty good shots” at Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, but they say it is necessary.

“I think he has a sense of humor,” Green explains. “We weren’t worried about going too far. What’s too far is another two billion dollars being cut from the budget and watching our school system fall apart,” he adds.

Laila Ali: CJ’s Birth ‘Was the Way It Was Supposed to Be’

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic

The best laid birth plans can — and do — go awry!

Laila Ali learned as much with son Curtis ‘CJ’ Muhammad, 19 months, when her hopes for a homebirth and all natural delivery were dashed by complications. You won’t catch the Dancing With the Stars alum voicing any regrets, however.

“He is healthy, he is here, and even though everything didn’t go the way I would have liked it to have gone … I’ve always said since the beginning that everything is going to happen the way it’s supposed to,” Ali, 32, explains to My Best Birth.

“I still believe that that’s the way it was supposed to be.”

Pain relief wasn’t the first birth plan departure for Ali. During the fifth month of her pregnancy, she learned that C.J.’s growth had become restricted and that a hospital birth would be necessary.

Having already stated her intentions for a homebirth, Ali was forced to reconsider.

“They didn’t know what the problem was,” she recalls. “The midwives got a little nervous because it has to be a normal situation, and even though it wasn’t an out of control situation, he needed to be monitored.”
