Surprise! Ryder Robinson’s New Short Haircut

Bauer-Griffin; GSI Media

We never thought we’d see the day!

Known for his long, hippie-style locks, Ryder Robinson debuted a much shorter ‘do on his way to school with mom Kate Hudson yesterday morning. Not quite a buzz cut, the new hairstyle takes the 6-year-old from mini grunge to oh-so preppy.

We’re definitely digging the new look. The lil’ cutie looks all grown-up! And now that he’s taken the plunge, who knows what’s next? A Mohawk? Justin Bieber bangs? The possibilities are endless.

Tell us: What do you think of Ryder’s new haircut?

Hot Moms Club founder Jessica Denay believes there’s never been a hotter time to be a mom.

The proof? Cool celeb mommies, fierce fashions and limitless options in baby gear, among other things.

So she decided to spread the word with her latest book, The Hot Mom to Be Handbook (Avon, $17).

Spotted: Leelee Sobieski’s Coffee Run

Norman Scott/Startraks

Getting her caffeine on, Leelee Sobieski was spotted strolling with daughter Louisanna Ray Wednesday morning in New York City.

The 4-month-old, who was snoozing in her stroller during the outing, is the first child for the actress and fiancé Adam Kimmel.

After the birth of her baby girl last December, Sobieski, 27, remarked that she has newfound appreciation for her own mother.

“I just can’t believe I’m a mom. It’s weird! You look at your own mom differently,” she noted. “I realized, ‘You changed all my diapers? You did that?’ You really appreciate your mom.”

Michael J. Fox: ‘Always Be Available to Your Kids’

CBS/Francis Specker /Landov

In a new interview with Reader’s Digest, dad-of-four Michael J. Fox quips that “it feels like five sometimes.”

The actor, 48, turns serious, however, when asked to provide parenting advice that begins with the word “always.”

“Always be available to your kids,” the author of Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist, suggests.

“Because if you say, ‘Give me five minutes, give me 10 minutes,’ it’ll be 15, it’ll be 20. And then when you get there, the shine will have worn off whatever it is they wanted to share with you.”

The extra effort almost always pays off.

“I’ve never gotten up to see something one of my kids wanted to show me and not been rewarded,” Fox adds.

Esmé Annabelle, 8, twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, 15, and Sam Michael, 20, are Fox’s children with wife Tracy Pollan.
