The Jenner Girls Newest Hobby: Cooking!

Shea Walsh /AP

The family that cooks together, stays together!

Wearing matching red aprons, the Jenners (Kris, Kendall and Kylie) channeled their inner Top Chef with Nintendo‘s latest release, America’s Test Kitchen: Let’s Get Cooking ($20). At their Los Angeles home a few weeks ago, the mother and daughter team prepared three yummy dishes for family and friends, including dad Bruce Jenner.

The game — based on the popular cooking show of the same name — features up to 300 expert-tested recipes. It’s also loaded with how-to videos (don’t know a marinade from a marmalade? No problem!), voice command and handwriting-recognition technology that lets you add notes to recipes for a more personal touch.

Plus, the whole family can get involved. It allows up to six users at once and only gives out age-appropriate kitchen tasks — so younger kids don’t handle knives or stovetop controls.

The Jenners also tested out the new super-size DSi XL ($190) game-playing system. Kendall even used it to snap photos of her family’s recent trip to Miami for Spring Break.

Jessica Capshaw’s Pregnancy Predictor? Her Son!

Kyle Rover/Startraks

There was no need for a positive pregnancy test for Jessica Capshaw.

Turns out that the intuition of her 2½-year-old son Luke was all that was required for the actress to realize she was expecting her second child with husband Christopher Gavigan.

“I didn’t even know! He pointed to my stomach and said, ‘Mommy, baby in your tummy!’ I was like, ‘What does that mean?’” the Grey’s Anatomy star, 33, tells PEOPLE Moms & Babies.

“Turned out that I was [expecting], so we kind of rolled with it and let him know earlier than we probably should have.”

Due in the fall, Capshaw says she and Gavigan are considering finding out the sex of the baby, although they chose not to with Luke.

“We’ve just been talking about that,” she shares. “We did not the first time and this time we went, ‘You know, maybe we will.’”

Katherine Heigl: Motherhood Brings Out My Emotional, Protective Side

Cheyenne Ellis/AP

As her daughter Naleigh takes her first steps and begins talking, Katherine Heigl is learning a lot too – about herself and motherhood.

“I’m a lot more strict than I thought I would be,” Heigl says, laughing, at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ball in New York.

“I really feel like discipline and manners, a good schedule, a good night sleep and a good nap are really important. I didn’t think I would be quite so like that.”

Heigl, 31, who was being honored at the event for her service to animal rescue, is also surprised to find herself getting emotional while watching a movie or TV show involving a mother-daughter relationship.

“It is so gut wrenching in a way that I could have never predicted,” she says. “You have this empathy suddenly -– this compassion for a mother going through anything complicated or difficult with a child. It’s something that I understand now –- that unbelievable drive and instinct to protect.”
