Spotted: Smooches for Sasha Schreiber!

Doug Meszler/Splash News Online

Sealed with a kiss!

Liev Schreiber lays one on son Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete, 2½, while headed to an East Village park with fiancée Naomi Watts and younger son Samuel Kai (not pictured) on Thursday in New York City.

Parenthood has been the perfect antidote to Schreiber’s sometimes serious roles, notes the actor.

“It’s been a total savior. [Sasha] is like, ‘Daddeeeeee!’ and he just wants to play,” explains Schreiber. “You dump the baggage right away and reconnect with all these human feelings.”

See more of the Big Apple-based Watts-Schreibers in their family gallery.

Erykah Badu: ‘No One Chooses to Raise Children Alone’

Bryan Bedder/Getty

A single mom-of-three, songstress Erykah Badu says that while she’s holding her own, “no one chooses to raise children alone.”

“When you’re in a relationship you want it to work,” she tells the UK’s Telegraph. “My parents did, I did. But we are not taught how to make it work.”

Noting that school prepared her academically, Badu laments that she wasn’t “taught about human interaction, about relations with the opposite sex,” and that she could have benefited from “compassion lessons.”

With that said, the fathers of Seven Sirius, 12, Puma Sabti, 5½, and Mars Merkaba, 14 months, are “present a lot,” insists Badu, who has plenty of female role models to draw from.

“I come from a long line of strong matriarchs,” she explains. “I live in a queendom, ruled by a womb-iverse.”

“My maternal grandmother’s advice is: ‘Keep living — it’ll come to ya,’” Badu, 39, continues. “My paternal grandmother says: ‘Just let God do it.’”

Describing herself as “a woman who has gone through many heartaches, enough to dedicate my whole life to trying to figure them out,” Badu says that music has been cathartic.

“Being honest is my job,” she explains. “That’s what music is for me.”

Tiffani Thiessen Tackles ‘Drastic’ Pregnancy Side Effects

John Russo for Pregnancy

Her sudden cravings for red meat have nothing on Tiffani Thiessen‘s latest pregnancy happenings: the actress is now experiencing growth spurts of an unwanted nature!

“Not to be too graphic, but the hair growth! I didn’t realize it was going to be so drastic and so much,” she tells Pregnancy in their May issue.

“And all these little baby hairs on my stomach? Most of it’s little fuzzy blond hairs, but every now and then I’ll get a black hair coming out of my belly button — that’s pretty.”

Due in May, Thiessen — who has planned a hypnobirth — is already imagining who her first child may take after.

“I hope my baby is long and lean. I dream about it because my husband [Brady Smith] is 6’4″,” the White Collar star says. “I also hope the baby has his artistic side.”

Hopeful baby will inherit her laid-back personality — “I think it will help us as parents if the child’s not too high maintenance –  Thiessen, 36, admits Smith’s tendency to worry does bring good balance to their growing family.

“It will be interesting to see how [fatherhood] works for him,” she muses. “But one of the reasons I married that guy is because I knew he was going to be great with kids.”

SoYoung Mother: Stylish, Eco-Friendly Bags for Moms and Kids

Courtesy of SoYoung

We’re always on the lookout for chic products the whole family can use. That’s why we’re loving the new bag collection from Canada-based SoYoung Mother. Not only is the line well-designed, it’s safe too — each style is PVC-, pthalate- and lead-free.

Moms (and dads) will love the classic-looking Charlie ($145) diaper bag. Made of rugged canvas cotton, it’s available in three gender-neutral colors (tan, grey and black). And at 15″x10″x7″, it’s roomy enough to carry around everything you need. It also comes with detachable messenger and back pack straps for more versatility.

Our favorites are the colorful Cooler Bags ($24) and Lunch Boxes ($26). Each one sports an artsy, whimsical print (spaceship, butterfly, giraffe, bird and motorcycle) that will delight the kiddies. They’re also made with coated linen, so they’re stain-resistant and spill-proof.

Like the line as much as we do? See the whole collection at SoYoungMother.com.
