To celebrate Earth Day (April 22), H&M is hosting a “Clothes for Kids” drive that will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. From April 22-28, you can donate gently worn kids clothing to all H&M stores that carry children’s items.

What better reason to clean out your kid’s closet. Not only do you get to rid your house of clutter, but you get to make a difference too!

Would love to donate…I have garbage bags full of nice clothes. Unfortunatly there r only H&M stores in Southern Cali area and Northeast coast. I live in Texas

I believe H&M was recently caught SHREDDING unsold clothes rather than cutting the price or donating them. This is a cheap publicity ploy by a company that has no social conscience — unless someone is watching. I hope people are not gullible enough to fall for this whitewash campaign.

Totally agree with Laurie. They were SHREDDING a ton of clothes that could be worn by children and adults who could have used them, in one of the coldest winters in NY. My recollection is that, having been caught by, I believe, the NY Times, they agreed NOT to shred clothes at their central NY store anymore. But they made no mention of discontinuing the process at their many many other stores worldwide.

I too read the Times article, and have not stepped foot into an H&M since.

Very misleading and disgraceful. They should donate their dead stock. Period.
