Looks like Ruby Maguire has inherited Mom’s great hair!

Jennifer Meyer Maguire gave her 3-year-old daughter a lift out of the car as the pair arrived to celebrate Jennifer Garner‘s 38th birthday Saturday at her and husband Ben Affleck‘s Pacific Palisades home.

Also attending the bash? The jewelry designer’s husband Tobey Maguire, Reese Witherspoon with kids Ava and Deacon, Juno costar Jason Bateman with daughter Frannie, Don Cheadle, Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Favreau and Laurence Fishburne.

Beautiful hair! I bet a lot of women have hair this gorgeous- but mommies always seem to cut it off. I don’t understand. Most women, IMHO, look better with hair this long. Why sacrifice beauty just because we become mommies?

seems not Jennifer’s style for a 38th bday party! She always seems more lowkey and not so ‘celebrity.’ NOT that I care how she celebrates.

I have hair envy! Both me and my 3.5 yr old little girl have thin, wispy hair that never seems to grow. I would love to have thick long hair like that.

Ashandra i know! my aunt had long and glossy what we called “rapunzel hair”, but after she had her 2 child she cut it all off in a really bad bob and then it got dryer and it wasn’t the same anymore. i know most moms don’t have time to style their hair, but it’s hey if you obsessed with keeping it pretty before you were a mom what wrong with keeping it long for 18 + years

Here shoes are by GAP. I think Shiloh has the same ones.

Looks like that’s actually mom’s hair hanging over Ruby’s shoulder. :)

Wow! I am surprised at all the people equating beauty with having long hair. Women can be just as beautiful with shorter hair. My hair is longer than that and I plan to cut it shoulder length soon. I have 3 kids and I am busy, but that’s not the only reason I want to cut it. Some people just prefer how they look with shorter hair.

That said, they both are beautiful!

Ask a man- I don’t think any men prefer short hair on their wives. It’s only women that tell each other their short haircuts are “cute” or “sassy”. Long hair does not equate beauty, but most people, up to a certain age, look younger with long hair and most men like it long.

Jennifer’s mini-me.

Quite a list of celebs. To me most of the guests are actors who are low key and not tabloid wh**e’s :-)

Ruby really is a carbon copy of her mother! I have long hair and I don’t think that it’s particularly high maintenance, 15 minutes every 2-3 days and a daily brush in between, unless I want to style it, and even then it doesn’t have to take more than a couple of minutes. I think I actually spend less time fixing my hair than several of my friends with short hair, not to mention that thei have to go to the hairdresser much more frequently than I have to.

As for Jennifer Garners guest list, theese are all people that she or Ben Afflek have worked with and probably actually befriended, so why shouldn’t she invite them? That’s what I do when I have parties, I invite my friends and sometimes people I would like to befriend. Besides, look at Jennfer Meyers clothes, it wasn’t a fancy schmancy celebrity party, it was a quite low key event.

Does anyone else think Jennifer looks like she has a bit of a baby bump?

Emily- I think it’s just the angle and the fact that she seems to be leaning back a bit to support Ruby’s weight. :)
