There’s a baby on the way — just in time for Fashion Week! — for Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman and husband Harvey Weinstein.
Chapman, 33, is due in August with the couple’s first child together.
“Georgina and Harvey are absolutely thrilled,” a Marchesa rep tells PEOPLE.
Chapman wed The Weinstein Company chairman, 58 — who has three daughters from a previous marriage — in Dec. 2007.

Interesting to see the contrast between these supportive comments regarding a 58 year old man having a baby to the recent article in which Demi Moore stated her desire to have a child and the overwhelming consensus that she was selfish and wrong to want a child at age 47….

He’s 58, not 98. It doesn’t seem to bother Harvey or Georgina, two people whose opinion actually matters. Why should it matter to outsiders who have absolutely no bearing on their life?

I think Georgina should have the right to have children even if her husband is old. I didn’t get into the mix with Demi but I do think she’s too old to be concieving a baby but if her husband wants one, surrogacy and adoption should be acceptable options. After all, why should the younger member of the couple suffer just because they fell in love with an oldtimer?

Stephanie- There are only two people who know for sure why Harvey and Georgina got married, and that’s Harvey and Georgina.
Mona- I agree! In fact, when I read the article about Demi Moore, my first thought was, “I wish she’d consider adoption!” (and my second was “I hope she realizes that the chances of her concieving at her age are slim, and won’t be too dissapointed if she doesn’t!”)
All of that said, does anyone know the names and/or ages of Harvey’s older daughters?
