All My Children‘s Alicia Minshew on Her ‘Dream Baby’

Michael Simon/Startraks

All My Children star Alicia Minshew says she is seeing the world through new eyes since welcoming daughter Willow Lenora, 4 months.

“I would do anything for her,” the actress tells Soap Opera Digest before quipping, “I am now capable of murder.”

“[Husband] Richie [Herschenfeld] and I talk about this! I said, ‘If anybody were to hurt my child in any way, I am capable of killing somebody.’ The two of us both! I pity the fool!”

Even though Willow has been a “dream baby” who is “forever smiling,” “chatty” and “giggly,” Minshew, 35, confesses that she still had difficulty making the transition to motherhood — which arrived a month ahead of schedule.

“When we first brought her home, she was so small, it was scary,” she explains. “I was so exhausted for the first month, I was irrational.”

Briefly returning to work at just four weeks postpartum didn’t help, either.

“It was horrible,” Minshew adds. “I don’t recommend that, but I had to finish those scenes … I cried all morning. I showed up to work a mess, puffy eyes. I was so happy to see everybody, though, and I got through it.”

Padma Lakshmi Wants to Pass Down Jewelry to Daughter Krishna

Clark Samuels/Startraks

There goes maternity leave.

A mere month after giving birth to daughter Krishna Thea, Padma Lakshmi is already back at work.

But this time, she’s not hosting a food competition. The Top Chef host is debuting the third season of her eponymous jewelry line, Padma.

“It’s very botanically inspired,” Lakshmi told PEOPLE’s Moms & Babies at the celebration of her Spring-Summer 2010 collection at Bergdorf Goodman in New York on Thursday.

“There are leaves in it and all of the stones — lemon topaz and pink sapphires — are very earthy spring colors. It’s all very light.”

Kendra Wilkinson’s Partying Prepped Her for Parenthood

Flynet

If there’s one aspect of parenthood that Kendra Wilkinson is confident she’ll conquer, it will be the serious lack of shuteye.

The former Playboy party girl is now reaping the benefits of her previous life when it comes to pulling all-nighters with her 3-month-old son Hank Randall IV.

“I used to go to bed around 3 a.m. and wake up at 3 p.m. Now I get up at 3 a.m. and stay up until 3 a.m.,” she tells Babble.

“But if I could party all night, I can stay up with my baby all night! The partying was actually an advantage — it prepared me!”

However, always rushing to comfort baby boy as he cries out is one point of contention between Wilkinson, 24, and her husband Hank Baskett.

“I don’t let him cry and Hank gets so mad at me,” the new mom admits, adding that she spoils the couple’s first child more often.

“But I can’t help it — if I hear him cry, I have to grab him and rock him back to sleep!”
