The baby Jeff Gordon and wife Ingrid Vandebosch expect in August is a boy, the NASCAR racer announced Tuesday.

“I wanted to let all of my fans on JeffGordon.com know first that Ingrid and I are having a boy!” Gordon, 38, announced in a statement on his Web site.

As parents to daughter Ella Sofia, 2 ½, the couple already know what it’s like to have a daughter, but what do they need to know about parenting a son? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Spotted: Nicole Kidman & Her Blue-Eyed Babe

Simon James/FilmMagic

After enjoying a little family time Down Under, Nicole Kidman and her daughter, sweet Sunday Rose, touched down at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday.

Hopefully this flight was more relaxing for the pair than a recent vacation was!

“We had a nightmare journey,” admitted Kidman at the time. “Sunday screamed all the way home. I walked up and down the aisle with her apologizing, it was awful!”

The 20-month-old is the first child together for Nicole, 42, and husband Keith Urban; the actress is also mom to Connor, 15, and Isabella, 17, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Catherine Zeta-Jones: ‘I’m Not the First’ to Balance Kids and Career

Zeta-Jones in A Little Night Music – Joan Marcus

Catherine Zeta-Jones may walk the tightrope of work and motherhood, but is the first to point out that she’s one of many parents that face this challenge every day.

“People say to me a lot, ‘How’d you do it all? How’d you do it as a woman? You’re a wife, you’re a woman, you’re working.’ And I say, ‘I’m not the first woman to actually have children and work and be a wife. I’m not!’” the actress noted during a Monday visit to the Rachael Ray Show.

In fact, she admits the nature of her job generally makes the juggling act noticeably easier.

“You know, if anything I’m blessed because when I’m working it’s intense. I don’t get to see my kids half as much as I’d like to,” Zeta-Jones — mom to son Dylan Michael, 9 ½, and daughter Carys Zeta, 6 ½ — explains. “But when I’m not working, I am a stay-at-home mom.”
