Why Annika Sörenstam Goes Nanny Free

Andrew H. Walker/Getty

With a well-earned reputation as one of the greatest female golfers in history, Annika Sörenstam could surely afford help when it comes to caring for Ava Madelyn, her 6-month-old daughter with husband Mike McGee.

However, she tells Golf.com that the couple prefer to go it alone.

“We decided that we wanted to figure out things ourselves,” Sörenstam, 39, explains.

“It’s something that we’re obviously going to look into. But we really want to raise Ava ourselves.”

Noting the “24/7″ nature of parenting, the golf pro says that life with Ava has been “wonderful” thus far.

The couple rely on their parents as needed, but “try to do the work” themselves.

“We take shifts at night and also in the day with baby duty,” Sörenstam adds.

First Diaper Kendra Wilkinson Changed Was Her Son’s

Flynet

It’s not uncommon for a dad to change his first diaper when he welcomes his first child, but Kendra Wilkinson says she’s a member of the club, too.

“The first diaper I ever changed was his, and it was special,” she says of son Hank IV, 3 months. So much so that the reality star tells Wonderwall her fondness for diaper changes has not waned!

“[Husband] Hank [Baskett] just sent me a video of the baby pooping, and I’m like, ‘I miss his poop so much!’ Everything about my baby, I just love. I don’t care if it’s poop.”

When asked whether the couple intend to have more children, Wilkinson, 24, replies “of course, yeah,” but is quick to clarify it won’t happen anytime soon.

“Right now I’m trying to get my body back into shape and trying to have some fun with No. 1,” she explains.

“He’s very special to us, and we definitely want to give all of our love to little baby Hank. Once he’s set to go to elementary school, then we will start on the second!”

Molly Ringwald Chooses Schedules Over Spontaneity

Jeff Vespa/Wireimage/Getty

The days of impromptu vacations are a thing of the past for Molly Ringwald!

Since becoming a mom-of-three, the Secret Life of the American Teenager star tells Entertainment Tonight she has “had to get a lot better about scheduling.”

“I used to be very spontaneous — I’d get on a plane, go anywhere I wanted anytime I wanted — and that’s sort of changed,” Ringwald, 42, concedes.

“I just have to think a little further in advance and that’s okay.”

Quick to point out that she has help — a cousin serves as nanny for Mathilda Ereni, 6, and 8-month-old twins Adele Georgiana and Roman Stylianos — Ringwald says she also relies heavily on husband Panio Gianopolous, whom she describes as “incredibly involved” and “a great father.”

Jaime Pressly Admits Potty Training Is ‘Not Going Very Well’

Roger Karnbad/Celebrity Photo

Every day seems to bring with it a new milestone for 2 ½-year-old Dezi James — son of actress Jaime Pressly — except for a very important one.

“He’s in the process of potty training, which is not going very well,” the former My Name Is Earl star admits. “Boys for some reason don’t like to go on the potty.”

“I thought it was just my son, but it’s not,” Pressly, 32, notes.

“It’s the majority of men. Sorry, little boys. Babies. Although I do think that if men had the opportunity to just go in a diaper and let someone else clean it they would.”

That theory is based on her own experiences with Dezi.

“He looks at his little girlfriend — who is his age and is potty trained completely — and doesn’t understand,” the actress says. “[He asks], ‘Why you don’t let Mommy clean it?’ Like it’s taken some time out of his day.”

“I’m hoping by the time this [interview] comes out he will be fully potty trained,” Pressly says. “Fingers crossed!”
