Nicole Richie keeps a firm grip on 2-year-old daughter Harlow Winter Kate — check that cute tutu! — after attending an L.A. dance class Thursday.

The duo joined pals at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for some post-ballet refreshments.

Richie is also mom to son Sparrow, 6 months, with fiancé Joel Madden.

I totally agree with the title of this post. Harlow is TUTU cute! She looks so grown up walking with her own little drink! Sparrow is also adorable! I’m so happy Joel and Nicole are engaged! On a side note I love her hair this color and she does not look pregnant at all but I’m just saying the last few pictures of her she has been in flowy shirts! I’m totally overthinking nothing but just pointing out!

the dance schools where i live won’t take kids before 3, something about legs/ligaments/attention span…

Katie you are right, dance studios do not take 2 year olds (unless its a Mommy & Me type class) – but this is Los Angeles and its a totally different world out there…

katie- Suri is 3 (and actually, will be 4 in a just a few weeks. ), so she probably is in a “regular” dance class for young kids. However, I’m guessing that Olive and Harlow’s classes are probably more of the mommy-and-me type.

Haha, I must be overreacting seeing as I have just come home from dance class myself, but my second thought was “oh no, she is going to ruin her dance shoes, You’re not supposed to use them outsides!” My first thought was “Isn’tshe a darling!”
