She’s walked runways, posed for a plethora of photo shoots and become a staple in the fashion industry, but Claudia Schiffer was willing to sacrifice it all when she met and married director Matthew Vaughn.
“I said, ‘You know what, this is important. I’m not going to work weekends anymore,’” she tells Vogue UK, adding she has become “even more careful” with her time since becoming a mother to Clementine, 5, and Caspar, 7.
Due with the couple’s third child — a baby girl — in May, finding a balance between motherhood and career hasn’t been difficult for Schiffer.
“Modeling work is fine because you can do one day here, two days there — you’re never gone long,” she notes.
Consistently having to monitor her weight in her younger years, the expectant mom confesses those days are long gone.
“I had a personal trainer, I was working out, I would never eat anything sweet,” she recalls.
And now? Schiffer is indulging in her cravings — including non-alcoholic beer! — and looking forward to the extra weight melting off after baby girl makes her arrival.
“When I was breastfeeding [my other children], it just came off,” she says of her pregnancy pounds. “I can eat whatever I want. If I don’t eat enough, I will lose weight.”
