Look Out World: A Fun Travel Book & DVD for Kids!

Now you — and your little ones — can discover the Big Apple without leaving your house thanks to interactive travel book and DVD Look Out World: Here I Come! (New York) ($22).

Tour guides Otto (little boy), Blink (teddy bear) and Casey (suitcase) take you to visit all the major landmarks including Central Park, the Bronx Zoo, the Statue of Liberty and the Museum of Natural History.

You’ll also get to experience the city’s every day sights (busy sidewalks and streets) and sounds (honking cabs, moving subway cars) through bright and playful animation. There’s even a cute theme song!

We loved the 36-page activity book, which includes everything from a pizza recipe to instructions on how to build a mini Empire State Building. It’s a great teaching tool too. While your child is busy exploring, he’ll learn how to recognize shapes and colors and how to count.

what a great idea! we took our family to paris last year and i had a hard time finding books that focused on kid-friendly sites and activities…wish this was around last summer! i did find one good book – Paris With Kids (i think it’s from Fodor)…

This is a fabulous idea!! I cannot wait to get it. I live in NYC with three little kids and think this would be so useful and fun. My kids would get such a kick out of the book and they would learn even more about the great city we live in! Also a great present! What a smart and unique idea!

This is an ingenious idea. My partner and I live in NYC, have 3-year-old twins and travel a great deal for business and as a family. Look Out World will be a valuable/fun tool to take the girls through various cities we’ve experienced, or hope to discover in the future.
