BumpWatch: Amy Adams Is Perfectly Plaid

London Entertainment/Splash News Online

Amy Adams covers her growing baby bump in a plaid day dress on Thursday while visiting Newsroom Cafe with a friend in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The comfortably casual look was a departure from the glamorous gown Amy, 35, was wearing the last time we spotted her — at the Oscars!

The Julie & Julia star expects her first child with fiancé Darren Le Gallo this spring.

Amy is just too cute !!

- Rach on

She is so cute and has such a young spirit about her being 35 years old. I feel like she is going to have a boy but that’s just a guess! Does she know the baby’s sex or are they waiting for a delivery suprise?

- Lisa on

I know she wanted to find out but I don’t think she is sharing.

- Meagan on

Lisa, I agree with your comment about being a young spirit. Until she announced her pregnancy and I read updates where her age was given, I could’ve sworn she was in her late twenties.

Pregnancy definitely suits her. I can’t wait to see what she has.

Amy’s so youthful-looking! I love her acting, and I can’t wait for her to have this baby. I have the feeling she’s going to have a boy. ;)

- Julianna on

She does look really cute pregnant, but I gotta say, I think that dress is ugly as sin!

- Cheri on

She is really cute and I think it is a boy, too….just a feeling. Seems like lots of little girls have been born lately!

- Jen on

I am so completely convinced that she is having a girl! I will be shocked if I am wrong! :) She is super cute! I love her!

- Anna on

I agree,Cheri. Love her and think she is adorable, but that dress is screaming “House coat”!

- Riley on

hahah Cheri and Riley, I was going to say i love her dress!!! I like the pattern and colour, but i guess the style is a bit shapeless, especially if you’re not pregnant ;)

- steph on

Wow, her face and body have really expanded since the Oscars…girl I think!

- Ashandra on

That dress is AWFUL. She is delightful, however.

I say ‘girl’. I don’t believe the thing about the bump being lower or higher indicating the sex, but i think she as well as jools oliver [for some reason - not being mean] are gonna have baby girls. Amy’s bundle will be beautiful either way. How could she not with those parents??? ;) lOVE Amy, may she have a safe delivery and healthy baby!

I just saw pics of Amy picking out a pink baby blanket and shopping around the girl’s section, so I am definitely saying GIRL! And yes I know that that is not exactly conclusive evidence but I have been saying girl from the beginning and I am sticking to it! :D

Her bump size changes with the clothes she wears, and I can understand that, everyone is different. Also, I so feel that maternity clothes is what you make it, if she wants to wear a bikini and call that maternity I second that. Im a mom of 3, so Im no stranger to that bikini thing. If you got it, flaunt it.

I’m pretty sure that I’m older than all of you, but that dress is not attractive and reminds me of that TV show “mary hartman, mary hartman.”

- Juli on

Callen wants 1 more- Interesting that you mentioned the bump appearing to change size depending on what Amy was wearing. I think clothes DO indeed make the bump look larger or smaller depending on the size, shape, etc. of the clothes (I just wish people had remembered this fact when Katie Holmes was pregnant with Suri!). :)

Oh, and I actually wouldn’t have a non-maternity version of that dress (assuming Amy IS in fact wearing a maternity dress in this photo!) for myself. There, I said it! :)

Ugh, I have GOT to start proof-reading my posts! I meant to say “I actually wouldn’t mind having a non-maternity version….”
