Another day, another sweet family outing!
Brad Pitt and Shiloh Nouvel, 3 ½, lead the way during the latest family excursion for Angelina Jolie, Maddox, 8 ½, Pax, 6, and Zahara, 5, in Venice on Sunday.
The family is currently in Italy while Angelina films The Tourist with Johnny Depp.
Another day, another sweet family outing-without their other two kids! Sad.

I just love this family. their kids are all dressed casually but their clothes are nice and they all look happy. how lovely that they seem to make so much time to spend with their kids.

I’m sorry but Shiloh looks like a boy. It’s not so much the clothes but the specific haircut. I thought of her when I saw a pic of Levi McConaughey with his long wavy hair. Even in boy clothes, Levi looks like a girl to me. I don’t have a problem with short hair for girls or long for boys, but on certain faces, certain haircuts can make a person look the opposite gender. I should know since as a child I had a haircut similar to Shiloh’s and I looked like a boy. I just didn’t have a feminine enough face to pull it off. It’s also why Knox can look so much like Shiloh without looking like a girl. She just resembles her dad and grandpa so her features are less girly to start with even if she had long hair and wore nothing but pink. Can’t fight genetics, but I suspect that’s why people make such a big deal out of Shiloh’s short hair compared to other girls. It just looks more boyish on her. I’d feel the same way about Honor or Valentina and they both dress girly.

I can’t imagine being one of the twins.. they are never out and about on these faily outings. I understand the want for privacy, but can you imagine watching your parents and siblings leave the house all the time without you!?

I want Brad and Angelina to adopt me. As for Shiloh, she can look like a old man for all I care, as long as she is happy and healthy. Some posters need to give it a rest with their personal vendetta against this family.

Is it just me or is Brad looking a little bit icky lately…not liking that goatee thing he has growing, movie part or not, yuck…on the other hand, Angelina always looks stunning, no matter where she goes, I’d like to know her secret! Kids are cute but I’m wondering if they are homeschooled? Traveling is nice but what about an education for the older ones?

@Denise I believe the older kids attend the Lycée Français, which is French-speaking and has schools with the same curriculum all over the world. But I reckon the must employ private tutors for Maddox and Pax when they are away on location.

They just look like such a happy family. I believe it’s important with that many to spend time with all different combinations of groups. We’ve seen the twins recently so it’s not like they’re being neglected. I just think that they’re spending time with the older kids for a nice day out. The kids are all so cute.

I believe the entire family was together just a week or so ago when they all took the boat ride…but I could be mistaken… 6 kids is a lot to juggle if they dont have any nannies or anything helping them.
Always critisim about this family..it’s really getting old. I think their wonderful and seem to have happy loveable kids!!

Going out with the older kids while the toddlers nap sounds like a great idea to me! It really is okay to have outings without all of the children all of the time! 
Also, I don’t know if it’s true that the little ones have health issues (maybe asthma?) as I’ve heard. but if that’s true, all the more reason to be cautious. I have a child with severe asthma, and we have to take extra care depending on crowds, air-quality alerts and so on. Like I say, I don’t know if that’s just a rumor or not about the Jolie-Pitt twins.

I remember when people use to complain that they would never take Shiloh with them. And now people are complaining about never seeing the twins. It just seems like to me that they don’t take the younger kids with them. Probably because they are napping. People always needs something to complain about.

Brad looks like a scrungy homeless man with that awful beard. He needs to shave it off, cut his hair and he’ll be back to his hot self again.
And Shylo, I’m sorry, she looks like a boy. Every time I see her, I think of Britney Spears’ boys. I’m not judging them because they can do what they want with their kids, but my opinion is that she completely looks lilke a boy with that haircut, and clothes combination. But, a cute boy, nonetheless!

Actually I agree about it being weird them NOT taking the twins out. I know they have alot of kids, but hey don’t have that many if you can’t handle them. I am a parent to just one, but he is 14 months and I couldn’t imagine doing all these outings without her! I believe the twins are even older than my daughters, and yes toddlers do nap, (and every toddler is different) but one nap is all they need a day. My daughter takes one from 12-2, ad then we go out to the park, mall, etc. I don’t need to complain about everything, but having a baby close to their twins age, I know how much a littler person they are, and I couldn’t imagine leaving her at home!!

Maddox is huge! When did that happen? Lol! I’m so used to unfair criticism of this family that I don’t even pay any attention to it anymore. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Some people just like the drama. I find the best thing is just to scroll right on by and let them get on with it.

Why do you care Samanatha? It’s their kids and you sound like they just hate the twins and ignore them which is a lie. We have seen the twins more than the older children. I feel that the comments about the twins are more of people wanting to see their biological children than the ones that are adopted. Biological children are more important than adopted ones to some.

I agree….6 kids are a lot for a family outing but they chose to have all 6 kids, so why not taking all of them together??? Seams that they always “choose” who to go out with…it’s weird, imo.

ITA about the twins never being with them, but they were out a week ago, so @ least they got to go out for ice cream. Brad has said numerous times he can’t handle more than two @ a time, maybe Angie feels the same way. I know I wanted 4 kids but now I find three is the most I can handle, so we have three. I wish you would see more of all six kids as well, because sometimes it seems like Maddox gets the most attention, followed by Shiloh & Zahara & Pax & the twins bring up the rear. It may not be the case, but that’s the way it appears sometimes.

There are 24 HOURS in a day and you people are judging Brad & Angelina based on a few moments that HAPPENED to be caught on film. What do you think they do with the other 23 hours and 15 minutes that ARE NOT PHOTOGRAPHED?
They JUST took the twins, along with Shiloh, to get ice cream…but maybe you missed it because EVERYONE seemed to be focusing on Shiloh’s haircut and clothes that day.

Sometimes, when my children and niece and nephew are playing and you bring up the idea of going for ice cream, they are often involved in a video game, or playing house/tea party and they DON’T WANT TO LEAVE THE GAME THEY ARE PLAYING.
I see no problem leaving them behind…I asked and they CHOSE not to go.

I’m sorry but someone who has only one child has no idea how hard it can be to even take TWO children out, let alone 4 or 6. It’s actually a lot harder taking out multiple kids especially when they’re all younger. And I wouldn’t want to take my 19-month-old twins out and boats all the time, and when you’re in Venice, that’s the ONLY way to get around. Brad or Angie spend all day at home with their kids while the other works, I don’t know what else they could possibly do to make it seem like they don’t “play favorites.” The same thing was said about Shiloh when she was a baby, and now look – Shiloh got to be around 2 1/2, 3 years old and is out all the time. Some people are never happy and they never will be, which is why I love that Brad and Angie raise their kids as they see fit.
Maddox really got big, he’s such a handsome kid. And it wouldn’t surprise me if Zahara is wearing Pax’s jacket, all the kids share clothes (Zahara has worn Maddox’s old shirt before, Pax has worn Maddox’s old shirt, etc)

@Lee I look @ all the pics on this site & comment on many families. Why is criticism of the Federline children okay, or the Muniz children, or Honor Warren? I’ve seen everything from Britney favours Jayden because she holds him most in pics to Suri runs the show because she picks her own clothes. Meanwhile, with the Jolie-Pitts it’s “don’t judge, it’s just a pic” to praise that Shiloh expresses herself by picking her own clothes. Such hypocrasy. Not everyone is going to worship the Jolie-Pitts and some will even point out something -gasp!- negative! Not everyone thinks it’s great that the youngest kids are excluded & will generate discussion. I did say that Shiloh’s clothes aren’t a big deal & that the twins were out a week ago so it’s not all bash. I can’t wait to see the praise Katie Holmes gets for letting Suri express herself through clothes or how great Gwen Stefani is for having just Kingston time just like the Jolie-Pitts.

I am by no means a fan of Brad Pitt’s acting or looks,he’s just not my “type”.However,I think people sound so entitled and demanding when they complain about his facial hair.Who are you to rant and say that he “needs” to shave “that digusting” “horrible” “homeless-like” thing off? Do you go around life making those kinds of demands to perfect strangers? Or is it the fact that he’s a famous man that gives people a right to expect something beyond good acting? As for “why have 6 kids if you can’t take them all out at once?” are you people serious? what kind of logic is that.I’m one of 9. As a kid we usually didn’t all go out together,why? becuase it’s hard to enjoy an outing when everyone is running, crying,screaming and pulling.There’s only two parents and a bunch of kids.However,there is a magical and secret place called home and backyard.I’m sure this family has a very big home and backyard.In this magical and secret place a family of six,seven, eight or nine can actually be together and share happy,normal moments with babies and everyone included.

The kids are adorable. I have 6 children the youngest two are 4 months and 20 months. I hardly ever take my youngest two any where. I do not feel guilty because I devote a lot of time to the two youngest (which I enjoy) at home in our nice backyard and they also have a play room. Maybe Brad and Angie do that also. P.S. I always look nice when we go out and I dont have a nanny, chef, stylist etc…. Just a husband and a mission to do what makes ME feel good about myself.

While I enjoy looking at photos of this beautiful family, it amazes me that each snapshot gets 100+ comments with the same sentiments: Brad’s beard is ugly, Shiloh’s a boy, they can’t handle their children.
Many of you must be accutely insightful if you know so much about this family based on photographs. Thankfully, neither Brad nor Angelina give a rat’s ass as to what anyone else thinks and they will continue to raise their children as they see fit whether you or I agree with it or not.

I certainly don’t hate this family. I’m all for adoption, in fact I PREFER the adoption option! It just seems unreasonable to have more children than you can handle. Brad has admitted he can’t handle more than 2 at a time.. So why continue having more children when you’re already outnumbered and possibly overwhelmed?
This is a matter of logic to me. If you can handle 2, have 2. If you can handle 10, then go for it!

I’d love all the parents who’ve had a baby (whether it be 1, 2, 5 or 10) and gonna ‘Bloody hell, this is way harder than I thought, and I’m having trouble handling this many’ to put their hand up (I bet its a large number!) I doubt its something you are aware of BEFORE you have the child. I’m not a parent, but I have the utmost respect for parenting and childrearing. Its not an easy job as I’m sure any parent will attest. Moreover, they planned for 5, not 6, the twins were an accident (NO ONE plans twins, seeing as its a little trick of biology!). Heaven forbid they, the most powerful celebrity couple on Earth, should find dealing with six children a little tough.

They probably love all their children all the same, just some activities are better to different ages. I’m almost 21 and my sister is 26 and still we go out with my mom separate days and do different things. Besides I’ve been in Venice, some places are ok, but other can be dangerous for a little kid to walk alone, they could easily trip and fall in the water.
And Samantha – You have one child, of course you cannot do any of this things with her. It’s good for her to took her everywhere, because you actually can and it’s awesome for her. They have six, they had learn that they can’t take all of them every where (I’m not saying that they can handle or not, they just simply can’t because it would be unfair for the children to do things that maybe they don’t like just because her/his brother/sister like). Please don’t get offended of anything since I’m not criticizing you, just point out what I think it could be the case. I may as well be wrong.

@Eva I forgot to add that I am the youngest of 12 and we all did not go out at the same time either. Today we are very productive and responsible (nonjudgmental) adults.

most people who have posted a negative comment have focused on one small aspect: 2 or 3 think shiloh looks like a boy and don’t like it, a LOT think the beard should go, quite a few think it would be nice to see the odd entire family outing…

You are so much annoyed that some people respect them, you have to repeat over and over (in different versions) that they are very bad people and bad parents. Thankfully the majority of sane people aren’t negative like certain people on the subject matter. This is a beautiful family, cute kids and from what little we actually see, Brad and Angelina handle their children just fine.

I love this family no matter what. Shiloh could be running around in a pirate costume decked out in a mohawk and even though it wouldn’t be what I’d allow my daughter to do I wouldn’t care what others choose to let their children do! Shiloh is adorable with or without her long blonde locks! And the other kids are just as cute with their own little styles. Let’s face it this isn’tn your average normal family so these kids are not goin to look like your average normal kids!
And I babysit my niece, nephew and a boy that just turned two. The worst part of my day is when I have to lug the older two kids to school with the 2 year old! It’s so hard to get all 3 kids out the door, without fighthing, while holding onto hands crossing the street, seat belts, carseats, bickering, jackets and hats, ugh no thanks! Babies are high maintenance and demanding. Why bring them out on all these adventures? They don’t know what their missing! We didn’t see Shiloh much until after she was about 2 years old and could walk around more on her own. I couldn’t imagine (even with nanny’s and bodyguards) managing six kids while tryin to get through the crowed streets of people and paparazzi!
They certainly take the kids out and they certainly find time to spend with each one but we the outside people don’t see what goes on all day long! I’m sure Vivi and Knox get plenty of mommy and daddy time alone in the privacy of their homes.
I will agree with those that say Brad needs to shave that thing off! I find him to look 10-15 years older then what he is but whatever he’s still kinda cute!

Just because they don’t often take all six out doesn’t automatically mean they can’t handle all six. Fewer kids on a trip equals more one-on-one time with mom and dad, more attention, more age-appropriate activities, basically a more fun time. “Stop having kids and bringing kids home if you can’t handle them!” Looking at this picture, do you REALLY see parents who can’t handle their kids?
Anyway, in my opinion the heart of a family beats from the home. That’s where forts are built and stories are read and kids learn how truly loved they are. That’s the one place we don’t see this family.

Louisa- Actually, no one knows if the beard is for a role or not. From what I’ve read, that movie (Lost City of Z) doesn’t even have a script yet, so it probably won’t be ready to film any time soon.
JMO and actualsize- I agree! And obviously they can handle all six at once, as the whole family was seen heading to Paris a few weeks ago. I also want to point out that Brad’s comment about only being able to handle four at a time was made over a year ago, AND he clearly stated that he, at the time, could only handle four of them at once ON HIS OWN! He never said that he and Angie can’t handle all six when they are together with them!

Just to add…on the whole 6 kids thing. When Brad Pitt was on Oprah Nov. 2008 promoting TCCOBB…Oprah said something like, “Do you ever go out to the mall?” and Brad Pitt was like, “*laughs* We don’t go to the mall..” and he was saying how “with 6 kids it takes at least a half hour to get everyone in the car, and get the snacks, and the blankies, and thank god Angie is militant with it…because I’m always forgetting something”.
It’s obviously a huge production to get all of them together in the car…let alone actually out/about for the activity. Plus, it is different because of age groups. Mad/Pax are close in age (8 and 6) and Z and Shiloh are close in age (5 and almost 4)…not as much in common with 2 babies (19 months…20 months).
It’s different with say Jon + Kate 8 kids when everyone is the same age, so obviously they are on the same level/interests so everyone goes out at the same time (or sometimes just the boys, or just the girls..etc).
Yes, they do have many nannies to help, and everything else surrounding BP/AJ…whatever, I really love both of them as actors and I’m just happy they found each other. Everyone should be so lucky to find someone they have so much in common with and be so in-love with. Plus, all their kids are adorable

let’s just recap:
*shiloh is dressed like a boy, has a boy’s haircut – conclusion, they must be repressing her and they hate girls so force her to wear boy’s clothes.
* the last couple of times we have seen them they haven’t had all 6 kids with them at once. despite the fact that they are very different ages, babies need naps, and it is nice for the older kids to sometimes have some more individual attention, be carried by mum and dad and get to do older things – conclusion they hate their biological children who will suffer severe psychological damage from always seeing their parents and siblings leave the house without them (and they probably point and laugh as they do it)
* brad has grown a beard and is not dressed to the nines, eventhough we all know his primary purpose in life is to be pleasing to the eye for us – conclusion he should stop spending time with his kids and being comfortable in his own skin and make sure he looks how we want him to.
come on people! can’t you see this are very very weird issues to have. i wish people weren’t quite so judgemental….

It is nice to see Brad and Angelina spend so much time with their kids. Clearly, they did not adopt them just for looks, they adopted those kids because they love them. Brad and Angelina are good people. I say this because they have done so much for New Orleans. Although I am not from NO, I have relatives there who are extremely grateful to people who are investing in NO, which is an awesome city. Brad and Angelina have donated millions to build houses and improve people’s lives in NO. They are Saints, in my eyes!!!!!
I am excited to see Angelina and Johnny’s new movie! Can’t wait!

I’ll assume that was a question. It doesn’t bother me. I’ve only stated my opinion here, which you have had issues and have come back with catty, rude remarks and accusations.
I don’t hate this family. I comment on CBB because I’m bored at work and this passes the time. I really don’t care much at all. I’m just amused by how rude you (Lee) have been to me, while claiming that I’m the rude one, or I’m the one bothered. To be bothered, I’d have to care, which I don’t really.
For the record, I had a lot of respect for Angelina when she claimed she’d never have bio kids. I was disappointed when I found out she was pregnant with Shiloh because I really admired that stance. But I don’t hate anyone! I never said they were bad people or that I dislike them.
This just passes the time. Don’t take it so seriously!
P.S. I love Shiloh’s look (as a former tomboy myself).

**So she originally planned not to have biological kids, than got pregnant (oops,mistakes happen) what was she supposed to do get an abortion?? I can only imagine you people if a pic of AJ was taken coming out of an abortion clinic!!!! Than a while down the road she gets pregnant again, this time WITH TWINS GASP!!! oh the horrror!! **As for how the kids are dressed OH GASP (again) the kids wear hand me downs, who the eff cares. If they all wore designer clothes it would be, I cant BELEIVE they spend THAT much money on clothes, don’t they know kids grow and blah blah blah..

I may wish you saw more of them with the 6 kids together, but I really don’t get the big deal about Shiloh’s hair. It’s hair, it grows back. Same with the clothes, they aren’t hurting anyone so who cares? Just this morning my 3 year old dressed herself in a sundress, jeans & socks that don’t match! Guess what she wore to daycare? Her fashion forward look! It’s really no big. Just like I don’t get the hoopla over Suri’s dresses or Angel Iris’s hair. It’s not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.

I don’t think Angelina got pregnant with Shiloh on accident. Brad and Angelina both planned to have baby. She talked about it in an interview where she said their friends told her it takes about an average of six months to get pregnant but it happened really fast for them. She changed her mind about having biological children and she’s allowed to do that.
She’s also said that being with Brad changed her mind about getting pregnant. She saw how much he loved Maddox and Zahara so she knew he wouldn’t love them less if they had a baby. She might have had some apprehensions initially but seeing how Brad loved the kids changed that. From everything they’ve both said, it’s clear they have wanted a big family and planned for it.

I guess you only have adiopted kids and will never get pregnant either. She fell in love w/ Brad he expressed interest in having bio kids , she saw how much he loved Maddox and Zahara and she knew the love would be the same for bio kids.People change their minds. I said I would never get married until I met my husband and 40 and changed my mind.Mary Helen when did Brad say he could only handle 2 because I just watched the Oprah interview conducted when the twins were almost 4 months old and he said he can only handle 4(at that time).Kirk Cameron has 6 kids, Chris Odonnel has 5 yet I rarely see them out with all of them. Marie Osmond has 8 and even when they were younger I never saw her out w/ all 8. I’ve rarely seen her with more than 4 at a time.I just wonder why there is a double standard with this family. According to JJ archives these kids were photographed less than 50 times(combined) in 2009 out of 365 days.So thats close to 300 days where we don’t know what they are doing or where they are going with all six or w/ 2 or three of them.I remember a sighting of them reported at the doctors office for the twins 1 year checkup witnesses say all the kids were there except Maddox yet there were no pics.

Love kids, but I don’t ever want to give birth! As a lesbian, I’m fairly convinced that accidents will not be happening with me, lol I know I’m in the minority for thinking this way. I have as many kids as I currently have time for.. 0!
I’m not upset that she got pregnant. Just a little disappointed, because the adoption-only plan was so unique, it caught my attention years ago. She didn’t stick with it obviously, and it doesn’t make any difference to me other than I thought her original plan was pretty cool and admirable. Everyone is entitled to changing their mind. I’m not the kid-police. People can have as many kids as they want, I was simply wondering why, as someone who doesn’t plan to have a lot of kids, or any at all, because it seems like it would be totally overwhelming for anyone.
Everyone has misconstrued everything I’ve said, or accused me of being hateful, upset.. all I did was ask a question, which Hea gave a good, logical response to.

Shiloh is absolutely adorable and a fierce little girl rocking a new hair cut. All of the kids have very unique personal style.
As for the mess above…some of yall need to take your medication. Its no wonder society is screwed up when people can’t manage to have a civil conversation over a picture of a bunch of people we don’t even know. Everyone needs to calm down and act like adults instead of 15 year old mean girls.

I bet you they spend more time with their kids than some “regular” parents do.
In anycase they are a good looking family and very hands on and very much into showing the kids a good time and enjoying being a family……leave them alone already!!!!

I can’t believe I am commenting on celebrities, but here goes. No matter how you want to spin it, they dress Shiloh like a boy. You rarely see the kids in anything colorful. Look at the other celeb children, they aren’t so gender neutral or dark clothed as these beautiful children. I am not passing judgement, just reporting facts.

I have heard Brad talk about how long it takes to get all of the kids together and out for an outing. He said with their blankets,toys and what not, it takes for ever for him to get them all together but that Angie has it all down and it takes her half the time to get them together. So, they do take them all out. I guess it just depends on where they are going and what they are doing as to whether or not the twins go. That makes sense to me. Some outings are hard to manage with real small ones.
