Nahla, who celebrates her second birthday next week, is the only child for Halle, 43, and her partner, model Gabriel Aubry.

She looks like Halle to me with her fathers eyes and eyebrows. She’s grown into her features more and is far less striking. She’s pretty, but I remember thinking she looked like a baby supermodel when she was 6months. She’s very big for her age but Halle is fairly tall and Gabriel is very tall.

Nahla is definitely the most beautiful celebrity baby I’ve seen.
I think she looks more like Gabriel than Halle. I agree she and Halle have same skin color (which means halle’s genes are amazingly string given her dad ancestry). I don’t have kids but I thought she was at least 3 yrs old in this picture.
I really like that she’s not a fashion accessory like a lot of those other celeb kids.

It’s only natural that little Nahla looks like both or her parents, and probably like a few other relatives as well.
But, Luciana(#8),Mimi(#12), & Mia(#13) you ladies seem to focus most/all of your comments on bi-racial childrens colouring,hair texture, & nose shape. Why is this? I have never read 1 comment were neither of you ladies failed to mention that the child has the A.A. parents hair,nose, & colouring. Never a mixture, which is always the actual case! It seems as though you ladies have no examples of racial diversity in your personal lives. If you did, you’d easily be able to spot a bi-racial child from an A.A. child. Or do you just lump them all in to one catagory? “One Dropping” is so politcally incorrect!

Nahla’s eyes and facial features look just like her Dad, although her face shape and skin color are more like her Mom. I wonder if she has half-Canadian citizenship because her Dad is Canadian? If she does, that means Nahla has health care for life!

Well, one those accusations are not correct all, and technically yes…genetically speaking everyone is 50/50 (genes from both parents), but bi-racial comes in many different shades/tones. And your argument would be correct, except for the fact that…Halle is bi-racial herself. It was just a simple observation that Nahla has the same coloring as Halle…they look exactly alike. (It’s a comment I make in most posts in general…if it’s obvious that someone has certain features from one parent vs. the other. It’s something I comment on in regards to describing myself. I have my dad’s face, but my mom’s coloring). Nothing more…Nothing Less.
And in answer to why? It’s because I find Genetics fascinating. A child could have parents with very contrasting features…1 with dark features/1 with light features…and there could be at least 30 variations on how that child will look. There is no concrete outcome.

I have two biracial children. Both of them are so white and with light brown hair that people automatically assume that I must be the nanny. I cannot tell you how insulting that feeling is. Please don’t judge by looks or you might miss out.
