The clock is ticking down … to a new baby.

24 star Annie Wersching and actor/comedian husband Stephen Full are expecting their first child, they tell PEOPLE exclusively.

The couple is “ecstatic,” says Annie, who plays Renee Walker opposite Kiefer Sutherland on the show.

“Feeling great” during her pregnancy, Annie, 32, notes that she’s “craving mint chocolate chip ice cream!”

The couple married at their Los Angeles home in Sept. 2009.

Congratulations. Wonder if the pregnancy will be written into 24. Is Jack going to be a father?!

Oh I love her! She’s fantastic in 24 and I’m really crossing my fingers Renee and Jack get together at the end of this season. Congrats to Annie and Stephen!

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
