Mom Surprised Kourtney Kardashian's So Calm with Baby

Kourtney Kardashian possesses a maternal quality that her own mother never had: serenity.

“She’s just a great mom,” Kris Jenner told PEOPLE in Las Vegas over the weekend. “It’s incredible to see how calm and patient she is.”

Kris never had her doubts about Kourtney as a parent, but she is continually amazed at her daughter’s motherly composure with her 11-week-old son, Mason Dash.

“I’m not a calm person,” Kris said. “It’s like, where did she get that? It’s not from me.”

As for how she’s adjusting to the role of grandma, the reality star said the feeling is unexplainable.

“It’s fabulous and I’m just having the best time,” she said. “[Mason] is the most delicious baby.”

It’s safe to say the entire Kardashian family is swooning over Mason.

“He is so chubby and so cute. He’s being really well fed,” Kim Kardashian said at Tao Las Vegas during the launch of her new fragrance. “I’m obsessed with him. I have Kourtney and [father Scott Disick] send me pictures every day.”

I just saw a few new pics of Mason in US weekly mag and he’s getting so chunky! It’s so adorable!
And Kourtney always seemed to be more even-tempered and less emotional than they other women in her family.

Kourtney seems to be taking on motherhood just a Nicole Richie did. Everyone was surprised to see how well she fell into the role as “Mommy” in comparison to what she was before becoming pregnant. It is amazing what having a child can bring to someones life. It changes many people for the better.

I think being the oldest and dealing with younger siblings probably helped develop Kourtney’s patience.

I love that Kourtney has embraced motherhood. Mason looks so cute. I’d totally name my son Mason, except that’s my cousin’s name and it would be confusing.
