Cat Cora: Any Additional Kids Will Be Adopted

Eric Charbonneau/WireImage

While Cat Cora and wife Jennifer aren’t ruling out the possibility of expanding their brood, they’ve eliminated at least one way in which it could happen. “The only way Jennifer and I would have another child is if we adopt,” the 42-year-old Iron Chef star tells PopEater.

The couple tried to adopt before welcoming son Zoran, 6, but found that “it is very difficult for same-sex couples.” Undeterred, Cat says it is the route they will pursue should they elect to have a fifth child.

“We have agreed that if we ever wanted more children, we would only do it by giving back and adopting.”

In the meantime, Cat says that she and Jennifer have their hands full with Zoran and his little brothers Caje, 2 ½, Thatcher Julius, 10 months, and Nash Lemuel, 6 months.

“We love our four boys,” she proclaims. “We are so blessed.”

“Of course, it is a challenge for me to juggle everything and be home as much as possible as well — but it is a rowdy, busy household, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Busy Philipps On How Birdie's Name Came to Be

Fame

While some may not love Busy Philipps‘ name choice for her 17-month-old daughter Birdie Leigh, the Cougar Town star reveals that the shortened moniker is no accident.

“After having grown up with a nickname, there is no way I’m naming my kid one thing and calling her something else,” she noted during a visit to The Bonnie Hunt Show.

“The first day of school [or] anytime there was a substitute teacher, I had to explain that I preferred to be called this weird adjective instead of Elizabeth. And people would really give me the look that I was a little strange!”

Before Busy became pregnant, she and husband Marc Silverstein were listening to a radio show discussing the late Lady Bird Johnson when inspiration struck.

“My husband said, ‘Wow, what a cool woman and what an amazing name … it would be so cool to name a kid after her,’” Busy recalls. The actress, who also liked ‘Birdie,’ was inititally a bit hesitant as “Lady Bird” was a nickname itself.

Eventually, when the parents-to-be complied a list of baby names for their soon-to-be-born daughter, Busy jotted down Birdie. “We didn’t name Birdie before she was born,” she explains. “When she came out I said, ‘I think we gotta go with Birdie, I think that’s her name.’”

Adding that she loves the “retro” feel of the moniker, Busy admits Birdie’s name fits her to a ‘T’!

Cougar Town airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.

Julie Bowen Laments 'Loose Flesh' Syndrome

Jordan Strauss/WireImage

The producers of Modern Family are having their fair share of fun at star Julie Bowen‘s expense, the actress joked to Celebrity Baby Blog exclusively.

In one recent scene, Julie appeared in her bra and underwear and in an upcoming episode there will even be an “incident in a public place with nudity,” she reported, musing:

“I don’t know. I think they just think it’s funny that I had twins and — maybe they’re saying — ‘She fought to lose the weight, now we’re just going to get her naked as much [as possible].’ I have no idea.”

A modest Julie was then quick to downplay her dramatic postpartum slim-down. “There’s loose flesh in places most people shouldn’t have flesh,” she points out. “You know what? I’ve given birth. They’d better take care of me when I’m old, that’s all I can say.”

In the meantime, Julie is still very much taking care of Oliver McLanahan, 2 ½, and fraternal twins John and Gus, 9 months next week, the latter of whom are teething — and making mom earn her stripes along the way!

“[They're] biting me while breastfeeding,” Julie, 40, shared. “How’s that for fun?” Unfortunately, it’s a phenomenon she said she is all too familiar with. Julie added,

“My older one did the same thing sometimes. It’s not a party but you get past it.”

Oliver, John and Gus are Julie’s children with husband Scott Phillips.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Wants a Baby, Gets a Puppy

Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images

There is a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas relocating their family from Bermuda to the Big Apple. During a recent visit to the Late Show with David Letterman, the actress reveals that the couple’s reasons extend far beyond her Broadway stint in A Little Night Music or even his new film Wall Street 2.

“It was to educate the kids and just to come back and enjoy this fantastic city we’re able to live in,” she explains. However, the transition from a laid-back life on the beach to a city’s hustle and bustle has taken a bit of getting used to for Dylan Michael, 9, and Carys Zeta, 6 ½!

“Well, for them, they were naked opening the back door — so was I — and just running out naked into the garden and it’s really hard to do that in Central Park.”

Even so, the kids are adjusting well. And, according to their mom, the new environment isn’t the only thing they’re having to adjust to — additionally, there’s a new member of the Zeta-Jones/Douglas clan!

When Catherine recently approached Michael about the idea of a third child together, the actor agreed to expand their family — and gifted his wife with a Coton de Tuléar for her 40th birthday.

“I said to him, ‘Darling, I really want another baby or a puppy,” she jokes.

“And that puppy came FedEx so quick! I mean, I never thought FedEx was that good!”

Tom Brady Is Loving Life With His Boys

Bauer Griffin

Football season may be over for the New England Patriots, but their star quarterback Tom Brady is still getting plenty of exercise on the home front!

Telling Extra that he delights in roughhousing with his 2-year-old son John Edward Thomas, the new dad is counting down the days until the family’s newest addition — 8-week-old Benjamin — joins in on the fun.

Currently enjoying the offseason, Tom is taking full advantage of his rare downtime to spend with his wife Gisele Bündchen and the boys. “I like to spend time with my family and friends and get a little rest because, obviously, during the football season, there’s not a whole lot of that!” he says.

When it is time to hit the field again, however, Jack and Benjamin will be in on the action, supporting their dad on the sidelines — and the proud papa says there’s nothing he loves more.

“It’s a great thing to see them run around at the football game — or at least one of them run around,” he raves.

“For a long time, I didn’t know when I was going to be a father, and now I have two boys.”

Jack is Tom’s son with actress Bridget Moynahan.
