Heidi Klum Is Breastfeeding for Baby, Not Body

Courtesy Heidi Klum

Project Runway host Heidi Klum made headlines with her speedy return to pre-baby form following the birth of daughter Lou Sulola, 4 months, but the mom-of-four says her success is far from extraordinary.

“Everything gets made into so much drama, about how a woman has her weight like before [she delivers],” she laments to Us Weekly.

“If you’re living your life, not sitting on the couch … a woman will go back to how she looked before she was pregnant.”

What’s more, the weight loss associated with breastfeeding is something else that Heidi feels people “blow out of proportion.” She adds,

“I never looked at breastfeeding in terms of, ‘This is something that helps me.’ Breastfeeding helps my child. The after effect: yes, you lose your weight in a normal manner.”

From the sound of things, Heidi will be helping Lou for many months to come! When asked about baby girl’s latest accomplishments, Heidi quips,

“I wish she had the first big milestone of drinking from a bottle!”

In addition to Lou, Heidi is mom to Leni, 5 ½, Henry, 4, and Johan, 3, with husband Seal.

New Mom Cobie Smulders 'Functioning On Fumes'

Gregg DeGuire/PictureGroup

Motherhood may still be “very, very new” for Cobie Smulders, who welcomed her first child last May, but the serious lack of shuteye is quickly catching up with her!

“I think I sleep an average of four hours a night now and so it’s just functioning on fumes sometimes,” she jokes during a Monday visit to The Bonnie Hunt Show.

Fortunately, the actress has been commiserating with her How I Met Your Mother costar Alyson Hannigan, who welcomed Satyana Marie only seven weeks before Cobie’s daughter Shaelyn Cado was born.

“[There are] a lot of play dates and time on set in the nursery,” reveals the actress.

And while both baby girls sport somewhat unusual monikers, Cobie, 27, laughs that her daughter’s name is “normal” in comparison to her own!

“My full name is Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders, that’s a mouthful!” she laughs. “Hopefully she won’t be teased too much. I went with it because I liked Shay and I had never really heard it before.”

After initially keeping the birth announcement under wraps, Cobie remains optimistic that her daughter will stay out of the spotlight. “I hate to say no to anything, but from my personal experience, I would like to leave her out of it,” she stresses. “I think it is a rejection thing and it’s a hard business for a woman to be in.”

However, should Shaelyn have a change of heart when she’s older, Cobie is prepared to cheer her on from the sidelines. “If it’s what she wants to do, then it’s what she wants to do,” she concedes.

Shaelyn is Cobie’s first child with fiancé Taran Killam.

Eric Dane: Baby Name Is 'Straight Down the Middle'

Ben Dome/Pacific Coast News

During a recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Eric Dane revealed that the baby girl he expects with wife Rebecca Gayheart could arrive earlier than expected. “The upgrade is coming soon,” he said, “[in] two, three weeks maybe.”

The couple have likely settled on a name, but “Rebecca wants to wait to see her before we start calling her it,” the Grey’s Anatomy star explained, because “you want to make sure that the name sticks.”

Although he opted not to share their choice with the public at large, Eric, 37, promised that the “fairly” traditional moniker has been well received by the couple’s family and friends.

When show host Jimmy Kimmel pointed out that they could be muting their response for fear of offending the couple, Eric agreed — to a point.

“You don’t want to say [you don't like it] because you don’t want to be met with an adverse reaction, but I think this one is going to fly.”

When pressed by Jimmy — who jokingly suggested the name Jane Dane — to clarify whether baby girl would have a “normal name” or “one of those crazy celebrity names,” Eric said that neither label will apply.

“We went straight down the middle.”

Baby-on-the-way will be the first for Eric and Rebecca, who celebrated their five-year anniversary in October.

Edie Falco: My Kids Look Like Fabio and Chucky!

Fame

If Edie Falco‘s son and daughter become child actors, they won’t be cast in the same movies. In fact, they’ll work different genres.

That’s because Anderson, 5, looks like Fabio, the famed romance-novel cover boy, while daughter Macy, 2, looks like a sweet version of Chucky, the murderous doll, Edie told PEOPLE at a Drama League gala honoring Angela Lansbury in New York on Monday.

“He’s just a spectacularly beautiful little blond boy,” the Emmy-winning Sopranos and Nurse Jackie actress, 46, said of Anderson, whom she adopted in 2005. “And I’m not just saying that because I’m his mom.”

Macy, meanwhile, adopted in 2008, “has bright red hair and blue eyes. She looks like Chucky,” Edie said. “She likes to say ‘Maaa! Maaa!’ in a [loud] scary voice, because she knows it cracks me up. I’m a cheap date. I laugh my head off. She really is like a devil.”

Central Casting issues aside, the single mom says raising kids is “the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” but that both of her children are delightful in their own way.

Macy, she says, is “the most spectacularly beautiful, funny, smart thing I’ve ever seen,” while Anderson is “smart and clever and creative, and he breaks my heart.”

As for her own celebrity doppelgänger, Edie says she has two: Ellen DeGeneres and Felicity Huffman.

“Every time I see Ellen, we pass stories back and forth how we are mistaken for each other,” she says. Other times, “the fans say, ‘Felicity, we love you.’ And I say, ‘I love her, too.’ What are you going to do?”
