Robin Thicke Is 'So Proud' of His Super Sperm

Bump watch is familiar territory for the women of Hollywood, but when whispers of a possible pregnancy for Paula Patton began circulating in 2008, the Precious star found it particularly painful.

“That’s when you realize you do care what people think,” she tells the March issue of Women’s Health.

Although she was not pregnant at the time — a baby doll dress and a few extra pounds ignited the rumors — Paula, 34, and husband Robin Thicke soon decided to take the plunge and pursue parenthood.

“You can get into that cycle of ‘What’s next? What’s next?’” she says. “But I thought, ‘I want to have children and I’m not getting any younger.’”

Because she had been using birth control, Paula admits she worried they would experience difficulty conceiving a baby. Those fears were unfounded, however, for Robin’s “super sperm” did the trick soon after the couple began trying. “He’s so proud of himself, it’s ridiculous,” Paula quips of her husband of four years.

Expecting a boy in May, Paula says she is “trying to eat smart” with the hope of avoiding a prolonged struggle to lose the baby weight. “I try to eat a salad every day,” she reveals, “[and] I switched from drinking coffee to green tea.” Although she has developed an affinity for milkshakes, the actress keeps the craving in check by filling up with fruit or water beforehand.

“When people say, ‘You have a pregnancy glow’ I wonder if it has to do with my healthier lifestyle,” she muses. “No more cocktails and I’m getting more sleep than ever — nine or 10 hours a night. I was never that girl.”

Exercise is also part of her plan, but Paula admits she’s “cut back” on the Ashtanga yoga she regularly practiced before becoming pregnant. “I told my trainer I don’t want to see the inside of a gym,” the actress recalls.

“She said, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll have you back [in shape] in six weeks.’”

Jamie Foxx: Corinne's Criticism 'Keeps Me Honest'

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

He has a mantel filled with awards and accolades, but there’s at least one person Jamie Foxx has yet to impress: His 15-year-old daughter, Corinne.

Despite being only the fourth person to ever win an Academy Award and have a number one record in the U.S., “my daughter always thinks everything I do is old,” Jamie admitted during a recent appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.

“I played some song [on the piano] where I was into it. It was all sappy and love and ‘come back to me’ and ‘hold my hand’ and all that. I said, ‘Corinne, what did you think?’” Jamie recalls, showing Dave his daughter’s reaction — a thumbs down.

Fortunately, Jamie, 42,  takes her criticism in stride. “At least she keeps me honest, she keeps me young,” he laughs. Clearly, despite her disdain of her dad’s music, there are no hard feelings; The teen is a regular on her father’s arm at the awards shows each year. “We have such a good time, we Flip camera everybody,” he reveals.

Their latest father-daughter date? The Grammys, where Jamie admits he became a bit swept up in Corinne’s new star-struck phase.

“She’s now in that ‘Oh my God!’ stage. We’d see Taylor Swift, ‘Oh my God!’ and then we saw Lady Gaga, ‘Oh my God!’ And for some reason, we both started going, ‘Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah’ [like the 'Bad Romance' lyrics].”

That said, when Dave asked if Corinne is the “big shot” at school herself, Jamie is quick to point out that his assumption couldn’t be further from the truth. “The friends that she goes to school with, their parents are much richer and a lot more famous,” he confesses.

Noting that some of the students are accompanied by bodyguards, Jamie — who places himself “a little lower on the totem pole” — jokes,

“They’re like, ‘Yeah, your dad sings? My dad owns the record company.’”

Caught Caring: Julianne Moore, Save the Children and The Valentine's Day Project

Celebrity Baby Blog – Caught Caring

All over the world this weekend big people will say ‘I love you’ with flowers, candy or a romantic dinner. Little people celebrate Valentine’s Day differently, of course, marking the occasion at school with cupcakes and cards. Julianne Moore is hoping that — with regard to the latter — kids will opt to help other kids, by exchanging valentines through Save the Children‘s Valentine’s Day Project.

A U.S. Artist Ambassador for the non-profit organization, Julianne — a mom-of-two — is spearheading the project, which received the support of the American Federation of Teachers and which offers five cards featuring the artwork of children.

The winning designs were submitted and ultimately selected by children ranging in age from pre-K through 12th grade. Voting took place in December, with winners chosen in five age categories.

In the February/March issue of Scholastic Parent and Child magazine, Julianne notes that “if you have kids, you know that Valentine’s Day has become a children’s holiday.” She adds,

“As a parent I go out and buy these crazy valentines every year, or we make them at home, but moms in the market for valentines will be just as happy to buy ones that benefit a program like this. I know I am.”

Packs of 25 cards, featuring five of each design, are available here in exchange for a donation of $20. Proceeds will benefit Save the Children’s early childhood, literacy, nutrition and fitness programs in the United States.

Julianne is hoping that the effort will raise awareness about the living conditions being faced by millions of Americans, where one in six children lives in poverty. She notes,

“There are no better or more credible advocates for kids than kids themselves.”

Julianne, 49, is mom to Caleb, 12, and Liv Helen, 7 ½, with husband Bart Freundlich.

babyGap Debuts Premium Denim Collection!

Courtesy of babyGap

Denim is a staple of every toddler’s wardrobe. Stylish and versatile, it goes with everything and it’s sturdy enough for an active baby. To give parents more high-fashion options, Gap is spreading its denim magic — the relaunch of their grownup 1969 jeans collection was a huge success last year — to its baby line.

Made of snuggly-soft cotton, the new babyGap premium denim collection ($15 to $30) includes iconic shapes and styles you and your fashionable tot will love. It also features some non-denim pieces like a crisp white button-down, smocked top and onesie.

“We set out to create the softest, most comfortable and cutest denim for babies, building on the success of our 1969 Premium Denim for adults,” says Jennifer Giangualano, SVP Product Development for babyGap. “The result is a collection of must-have pieces — like jean jackets, 5-pocket jeans and overalls — that are absolutely adorable while allowing comfort and full range of movement.”

Our favorite pieces are the jean jackets for boy ($29.50, above left) and girl ($29.50) — it has adorable puff sleeves — and the super cute girl’s jumper ($29.50, above right). We also can’t stop drooling over the easy, yet chic romper ($27) and the classic (with a twist) chambray shirt ($19.50).

Check out the full collection online here. Or search for stores in your area.

Leelee Sobieski: Baby Smell Is 'Really Something Special'

Dan Woolier/WireImage

Since the birth of her daughter Louisanna Ray eight weeks ago, actress Leelee Sobieski is sleeping in three-hour spurts, “taking a break” from acting — and loving every minute of it.

“You know the baby smell?” she asked Celebrity Baby Blog at the Cinema Society premiere of HBO’s How to Make it in America in New York.

“It’s just really something special. I never knew about it before. Their necks smell so good!”

For the Public Enemies star, 27, the most surprising thing about motherhood is motherhood itself.

“I just can’t believe I’m a mom,” she says. “It’s weird! You look at your own mom differently. I realized, ‘You changed all my diapers? You did that?’ You really appreciate your mom.”

Louisanna is Leelee’s daughter with fashion designer fiancé Adam Kimmel.
