Jo Dee Messina Calls Son Noah a 'Happy Soul'

Tony R. Phipps/WireImage

And he’s off … almost! Despite her son showing promise when it comes to taking his first steps, Jo Dee Messina tells OK! that Noah Roger, 13 months this week, knows his best bet is still crawling. “He will put his hand on stuff and take a few steps,” she shares.

“If he wants to get there fast, he drops to his knees and crawls because he can crawl at lightning speed.”

Hitting all of his milestones right on target, the country crooner says Noah is doing a lot more these days than sucking on his snacks, thanks to his new set of chompers!

“He’s got his two bottom teeth and his two top teeth, so he can take a bit off of the graham crackers,” she explains.

But baby boy’s greatest trait? His stellar smile, raves the proud first-time mom. “He laughs all the time,” Jo Dee says.

“I get him out of his crib first thing in the morning and there he is — huge smile. He’s a very happy soul, which is a blessing.”

Noah is Jo Dee’s son with husband Chris Deffenbaugh, whom she wed in Oct. 2007.

Exclusive: Meet Lucia Rose Mariano!

Considering Mom and Dad fell in love in Panama while filming Survivor: All-Stars, married in the Bahamas and traveled around the world together twice on the Amazing Race, it’s no surprise that little Lucia Rose Mariano is at ease in multiple time zones.

“It’s funny,” says reality TV veteran Rob Mariano, 34, currently appearing on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, the series’ 20th season. “Lucia’s only 7 months old and she’s already been to Pittsburgh, Vegas, Boston and Atlanta! We’re lucky she’s so good on flights.”

Before Amber, 31, won the $1 million prize on Survivor: All-Stars in 2004, Rob, the first runner-up, proposed at the show’s live finale. Since then the couple set up house in Pensacola, Fla., while Rob has tried his hand at professional poker.

A baby wasn’t in the cards at first: After a whirlwind on-air romance, “We wanted to enjoy each other for a little while before we added another person to our family,” says Amber.

When it came time to pick a baby name, Amber once more had to outwit, outplay and outlast her husband. “I really liked Lucy, but Rob wasn’t crazy about it.” Amber says. “So I kept trying to find a name that was similar, and Rob said that he kind of liked Lucia, so…”

Once again, Amber won. “When she was born, I got a little teary-eyed,” Rob recalls. Amber adds, “Then he looked at me and said, ‘I think her name is Lucia.’ And I started crying too.”

New Baby 'Looked Like a Lou,' Says Heidi Klum

Courtesy Heidi Klum

Decisions, decisions. Prepared with a list when it came time to choose a name for daughter Lou Sulola, Heidi Klum tells Ellen DeGeneres the process was easier than expected — her fourth child and the short and sweet moniker were an instant fit.

“We had four or five names that we really liked. We wanted to wait until she came out and then we liked Lou,” the Project Runway host explains.

Also among the contenders were Ellie and Elfie, Heidi says, but the answer was clear once she and husband Seal saw their daughter for the first time. “I liked Ellie, but she looked more like a Lou. Lou was the winner.”

And while the family is “absolutely” loving on Lou — including tickling games between the 4-month-old and her big sister Leni, 5 ½ — Heidi continues to work to regain her figure. Taking to the Victoria’s Secret runway six weeks post-delivery, Heidi was all about having a good time, despite the extra pounds.

“I was there hosting the show and I loved it,” she recalls. “I had so much fun and I was like, ‘What the heck! Give me that outfit!”

Click below for Heidi’s tips and tricks for postpartum photos, and what one part of her anatomy is a bit off on her new wax figure.

Jennifer Lopez: Twins Are 'Very Well Adjusted' to Globetrotting

Bauer-Griffin

Babies usually adapt to their surroundings far easier than adults, and Jennifer Lopez says that her two children Emme Maribel and Maximilian David, turning two this month, have been no exception.

With two bonafide superstars for parents in the 40-year-old singer/actress and her husband Marc Anthony, the twins have crisscrossed the globe, and Jennifer reports that they’re “very well-adjusted to this life.”

Noting that “they know nothing else,” Jennifer adds,

“Traveling … dancing … singing … sets — that’s their life. They kind of get, like, [that] this is what we do.”

From the sound of things, a career in entertainment might be on the twins’ horizon as well! Jennifer reveals,

“They just love people, and they love music, and they love laughing and running around.”

Playing an expectant mom in her new film The Back-up Plan was fun for Jennifer, who admits that Emme and Max might soon have company on their adventures. When asked whether she has plans to expand her family, Jennifer confesses,

“I want more babies.”

The Back-up Plan hits theaters April 23.
