Muu Ray Collection: Nursery Furniture for the Modern Baby!

Courtesy of Muu Ray Collection

Want nursery furniture that doesn’t scream boring? Check out the beautifully crafted (and eco-friendly!) Ray Collection ($795 – $925) by Los Angeles based design firm Muu.

Made from locally-sourced solid maple and recycled wood MDF (medium-density fiberboard), the line includes two cribs, a dresser and a storage unit. Plus, like the company’s fun, colorful Sam Collection, you can mix and match the decorated panels — no wonder supermodel and mom Karolina Kurkova is a fan.

We really love the Eames-inspired Ray crib ($925, above) in the white/hazelnut combo. It’s simple, yet oh so modern. The Ray Storage ($795) is also a great piece. It features easy-to-access open shelves on the side and the front.

Courtesy of Appaman

We got a chance to check out Appaman‘s new spring 2010 collection ($20 to $89) and we’ve got to say it’s beyond adorable. You’ll find everything from soft, colorful tees covered with retro-inspired designs like cool shades reflecting a tropical sunset to mod colorblock minis. Talk about fun!

We love the plaid Camp button-down ($44), which comes in a blue or red multi print. Not only does it sport two front pockets, but the sleeves roll up with the help of a handy button tab — perfect for little boys who like to get messy. For little girls, check out the super cute Braids Ruffle Tank ($36, above left). It features Anime-style drawings by artist and designer, Kayo Aiba.

Have a new baby? Appaman Mini ($19 to $45) — the company’s clothing line for younger tots — is layette with a modern twist. Made of comfy, raw edged cotton, it includes polos, ruffled tunics, leggings and more in soft hues of taupe, coral, grey, turquoise and charcoal hues. There are also bright-colored onesies with cheeky, yet charming prints like the green bulldog version above right.

Justin Moore Welcomes Daughter Ella Kole

Jeff Snyder/Picture Group

It’s a girl for country crooner Justin Moore and his wife Kate! The couple became first-time parents when they welcomed daughter Ella Kole Moore on Thursday, Feb. 11th at 12:29 p.m.

Baby girl — who shares her middle name with her dad — weighed in at 6 lbs., 8 oz. and, according to the proud papa, is everything he hoped.

“She and my wife are perfect. Both are doing great,” he raves. “All I can say is, wow!  It’s the most unbelievable thing I’ve ever been through … so thankful.”

With the Small Town USA singer currently on the American Saturday Night tour with father-of-two Brad Paisley, Justin and Kate opted for a planned c-section to ensure no last-minute surprises.

“I’m so busy that we just had to pick a day,” Justin explained. “We picked the 11th, because that’s the earliest they would let us do it. What’s going to be horrible is that I have to leave on the 12th, so it’s going to be rough. At least I know that I will be there, and I won’t be missing out.”

The pregnancy had been announced in October.

Kelly Ripa's Valentine? Her Entire Family!

Anthony Dixon/WENN

They’ll be no quiet date night this Valentine’s Day for Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos!

During a Friday appearance on the Rachael Ray Show, the co-host of Live with Regis and Kelly reveals that the special day has always been a family affair with the children. This year, however, Kelly is taking it one step further.

“We are doing what we have never done before as a couple y’all! We are going out to dinner with all three of my children and my parents!” she shares, before adding that Michael Joseph, 12, Lola Grace, 8 ½, and Joaquin Antonio, 7 this month, are proof of their parents’ love for each other.

“They are the clearest expression of Valentine’s Day gone by,” Kelly says.

With Michael approaching adolescence, Kelly jokes that the mother-son bond has never been stronger. “It’s so funny because he’s got a little mustache right here, and I’m about to be 40 this year, so I’ve also got that!” she laughs.

“We’re staring at each other and I’m like, ‘It’s so weird how we’re going to be shaving together! Isn’t this exciting!’”

And while Kelly may have taken over that task, she confesses she wasn’t the one who handled the birds and the bees discussion. “It was awful! They say you have to tell them, but I just get so sweaty,” she admits.

Fortunately, Mark was quick to step up to the plate — although Kelly points out she has little faith in her husband’s explanation. “Well, Mark says … ‘I told Michael everything he needs to know,’” she explains.

“And I’m like, ‘What was that exactly?’ Because I don’t really necessarily know that Mark understands!”

Chew on This! MAM's New Soothing Teethers

Courtesy of MAM

Some babies start to feel the discomfort of getting their first teeth earlier than others. But most teethers aren’t appropriate for tots under six months. Now thanks to MAM, babies as young as a few weeks old have something to chew on.

Lightweight and small, the circular elephant-themed Starter ($6, above right) is easy for tiny hands to grasp and for mini mouths to bite. It even has a built-in clip so it won’t go missing. Choose from pink or blue.

Perfect for little ones 3 months and up, the slightly bigger Bite and Brush ($6, above left) not only soothes gums, but it has a built-in silicone-bristle toothbrush that helps keep growing tooth buds clean. It also sports a unique clover shape and comes in three fun colors (pink, blue and green).

All of MAM teethers are BPA-free and developed with help of dentists.
