Look for Less: Camila Alves' Tough-Girl Glamour

INF

She may have just welcomed her second child, Vida, six weeks ago, but when Camila Alves stepped out to celebrate her 27th birthday with partner Matthew McConaughey on Jan. 28, she proved she’s still one sexy mama.

For the special occasion, the Shear Genius host went for a glam, yet edgy look by layering a hip, moto jacket over a fun, sparkly dress.

She also wore a sleek pair of heeled pull-up boots and Virgins, Saints & Angels‘ PAX Magdalena Necklace in Jet ($440).

Love Camila’s party look as much as we do, but don’t want to break the bank? You’re in luck. We’ve copied her entire outfit — all under $250.

NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler and wife Amanda are first-time parents! The couple welcomed son Wyatt Herman Fritz Sadler at 9:47 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15th in Richmond, Va.

Taking to Twitter, Elliott revealed that both mom and baby are “doing great.”

Although Wyatt arrived slightly ahead of schedule — Amanda wasn’t due until early March — he cooperated nicely with dad’s work schedule, which included a 24th place finish at the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

“Thanks for all the well wishes, everything going great,” Elliott Tweeted, adding,

“He did wait till I got home so he probably a daddy’s boy! Haha.”

Taye Diggs Happy to Take On Diaper Duty

AP/Courtesy of Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs

New dad Taye Diggs could use some serious shut-eye! Stopping by Good Morning America last Tuesday, the Private Practice star was noticeably quiet, but attributed it to his hectic schedule.

“It’s early, it’s very early,” he said with a laugh. “I’m just trying to get through [and then] I’ll be back [in Los Angeles] tonight to see the little man.”

The little man in question is Taye and his wife Idina Menzel‘s 5-month-old son Walker Nathaniel, and the proud papa was more than willing to dish on baby boy’s latest milestones.

“He’s almost standing, he’s laughing a lot when I come in to get him in the morning to change his diaper, he’s smiling, he’s brilliant,” Taye raves, before adding, “I can’t stop talking about him!”

Exhaustion aside, Taye is “loving” first-time fatherhood. So much so, in fact, that the actor has no qualms about changing diapers, despite openly admitting that Walker “tears it up” on the changing table.

“It is love, let me tell you, his diapers are no joke. But even then I’m such a proud father I’m like, ‘Good for you! Good for you little man!’”

Enjoying his continued success — both in his career and his personal life — Taye is the first to point out that he will be forever grateful. “I’m blessed,” he agrees. “It’s so cliché to say, but life is good.”

Billie Piper 'Grateful' for Peace and Quiet After Son's Birth

Jon Furniss/WireImage

When Billie Piper retired to the English countryside to finish out her pregnancy with son Winston James, 15 months, she soon realized that there is such a thing as too much downtime.

“I did go a bit Sylvia Plath down there,” she tells the UK’s Times Online. “Staring at the condensation on the window and wondering where it comes from. Following slugs in the garden that hadn’t moved a foot, and feeling a bit desperate.”

After an emergency c-section that left her “barely [able to] walk” and with husband Laurence Fox away on location, Billie, 27, says that the solitude turned out to be a good thing indeed.

“I was alone in the country with a newborn baby for three weeks,” she notes.

“I’m actually grateful for that time now. It forced me to be in bed with my child. And really that was the only time that I was still, with baby, without distractions or confusion. It was just the two of us. You sleep when they sleep and feed when they feed.”

While still pregnant, Billie admits she had become “completely neurotic.” She quips,

“[I] saw what I’d be like without booze and [cigarettes]. And it ain’t pretty.”
