HOTmilk: Not Your Mama’s Nursing Bra

Courtesy of HotMilk

Looking sexy during and after pregnancy just got easier thanks to HOTmilk.

With frilly details and flirty shapes, the New Zealand based company’s collection of  nursing bras, panties, nighties and pajamas are far from basic.

No wonder hot celeb moms like Kourtney Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson, Jennifer Hudson, Jenna Elfman and Leelee Sobieski are fans.

Instead of the blah department store variety with giant flaps, their gorgeous bras come in rich colors embellished with beautiful lace.

We love the Her Desire ($59) style, which comes with a matching pair of knickers ($27).

The chic black maternity/nursing nightie ($80) is also a mom-to-be must-have. Made with a little bit of stretch, it has a comfy fit.

Go ahead! Add some come-hither styles to your maternity wardrobe. Sporting a bump doesn’t mean you don’t still have it going on.

Check out the full collection here or search for stores in your area.

Wow, that bra looks awesome! I love the colors.

Love the bra..but they should of used a model that LOOKED like she actually had a baby…

- stacey on

Exactly, Stacey, I was thinking the same thing! I do wish they would have had something like that back when my children were born. :)

I was thinking the same thing Stacey! Don’t they know that seeing a woman with that body when you are shopping for nursing bras would just make you mad?!!:) Like I am going to believe that a bra woudl make me look that good just after giving birth! It is a pretty bra though.

- Chris on

Beautiful, but seriously. Does that woman have any children or an infant at home with her. I would for sure wear that for my husband if my stomach looked like that after three children and almost 31! Perhaps something sexy like that but more of a corset type style, where it goes all the way down and covers and slims your tummy!

- Amanda on

Let’s not get too excited here. Models are models. Models in catalogs are generally size 0, whereas the average American woman is a size 12-14. It’s not realistic. Similarly, no advertising company is going to put a woman who just gave birth with stretch marks in a sexy bra. It’s unfortunate, but advertisers thrive on trying to make people feel bad about themselves.

If you click the link for “knickers” you’ll see that the models used on that site are, in fact, clearly pregnant. For what it’s worth. (I myself, *smile* was not that thin when I was pregnant!).

What a great idea. Wish I’d thought of it.

Love the bra, the colors are great. Although I do agree it would have been nice to see it on a pregnant lady.

Oh well, I still like the bra. I want one and I’m not even pregnant.

Love these!! Where were they when I was pregnant?!? I don’t look anywhere near like a model but I felt so sexy when I was pregnant and desperately searched for items to enhance the way I felt. If I am lucky enough to blessed with another child I definitely know where to go!!

Love these and love the nursing tops featured on here a week or so ago with some of the same celeb admirers. Way to go designers who are thinking about fashionable nursing moms!

I have 3 kids, and I slimmed down right after. THAT said, I still find it insulting to see ads that thrive on making people feel badly. Gorgeous bra. Model should be pregnant. Or holding a newborn across her lap in a nursing position thus covering whatever tummy you can imagine is there. Let’s get real in advertising and tell the world out there that having a baby is a genuine blessing and you don’t need to be a size zero leaving the hospital room. Or ten years AFTER the hospital room. For real, get real.

I normally use “sporty” looking maternity bras. Oneday I decided enuf’s enuf, and tried two Hot Milk Bras – Oh My Lordess. They do make good bras – notonly do they make fabulous bras, they make your beasts look so good (despite the amount of milk) and they were so reasonable! I bought them both – one of which is the above.

- Norma Mou on

For the record, all the models on the HOTmilk website ARE pregnant!

(AND stunningly gorgeous!)

- roly on

Some people look like that after having babies. Not everyone keeps the weight on..as much as that irritates me… A friend of mine who just happened to have her baby the same day as me slimmed down very quick. She is naturally very thin.My husband used to say when she was pregnant that she looked like a toothpick that swallowed a grape, because she was so thin but with a huge stomach. She snapped back immediately, much to my dismay lol. I just wish the model looked like she had some swollen breasts or full breasts so you could get an idea of how it would fit and look. I was always popping out of my bras during my pregnancy and breastfeeding stage. And those stupid breastpads would never stay in place. I gave up and just wore sportsbras after that.

I LOVE Hotmilk bras. I own half a dozen myself and they are gorgeous. So supportive and soft. I think I’ll have to add this one to my wardrobe too!
