Ai Wire/Matthew T. Thacker/Landov

NASCAR driver Elliott Sadler and wife Amanda are first-time parents! The couple welcomed son Wyatt Herman Fritz Sadler at 9:47 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 15th in Richmond, Va.

Taking to Twitter, Elliott revealed that both mom and baby are “doing great.”

Although Wyatt arrived slightly ahead of schedule — Amanda wasn’t due until early March — he cooperated nicely with dad’s work schedule, which included a 24th place finish at the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

“Thanks for all the well wishes, everything going great,” Elliott Tweeted, adding,

“He did wait till I got home so he probably a daddy’s boy! Haha.”

Congratulations to the Sadler family. Bet Wyatt’s a cutie and is going to be a little mischief maker like his daddy.

Congratulations Elliot and Amanda. Our favorite driver now has a wonderful, beautifully named boy. See you at Darlington, Talladega, Atlanta, and Bristol. Go team Elliot.

Wyatt is a cute name.

I’m willing to bet that Elliot and/or his wife has Germa heritage, because Fritz is a very German name. :)

Elliott posted a few pics on his Twitter page of baby Wyatt…he’s a cutie. He said his name is after his father (Herman) and Amanda’s grandmother (Fritts).
