Leelee Sobieski: Baby Smell Is 'Really Something Special'

Since the birth of her daughter Louisanna Ray eight weeks ago, actress Leelee Sobieski is sleeping in three-hour spurts, “taking a break” from acting — and loving every minute of it.

“You know the baby smell?” she asked Celebrity Baby Blog at the Cinema Society premiere of HBO’s How to Make it in America in New York.

“It’s just really something special. I never knew about it before. Their necks smell so good!”

For the Public Enemies star, 27, the most surprising thing about motherhood is motherhood itself.

“I just can’t believe I’m a mom,” she says. “It’s weird! You look at your own mom differently. I realized, ‘You changed all my diapers? You did that?’ You really appreciate your mom.”

Louisanna is Leelee’s daughter with fashion designer fiancé Adam Kimmel.

i believe it is pronounced louise anna. Micheal bubles fiance has that name and that is how he pronounces it

aw, i know it… my new son is 11 days old. he’s my third, and all through my pregnancy, i treated it as my last– but, just a few days after his birth, i picked him up to kiss and cuddle him, and i smelled him– i knew i couldn’t say i’m for sure done. it’s a lovely thing– definitely “something special”.

Melanie Public enemies, which they mention in the article. Was out last year…with johnny Depp! I figured the name was is pronounced Louey-anna. Someone said when the birth announcement came out they have the name and a few others had friends who pronounced it that way.

I’m almost 25 and say “like” and “seriously” all the time. Am I a ditz? No. Am I in high school? No. I work in the legal profession, but how I speak to friends and family and in online postings is completely different.
