The Californication star, 49, and wife Téa Leoni are also parents to son Kyd Miller, 7 ½.

Very pretty girl
But I still find it strange that they give her a beautiful feminine name like Madelaine and then call her West. Perhaps this has something to do with me being Dutch, so I’m not used to people with names such as West, but to me it sounds just odd.

Tea’s full name is Elizabeth Tea Pantleoni. Like meghan said, it’s a tradition in her family to use middle names rather than first names.

West is very pretty. She definitely looks like her dad; when she was a baby, you could put pictures of her next to David’s baby pictures and they looked exactly alike.

David loves basketball and was a star player at his prep school. How sweet that West apparently likes basketball too.

I actually love it when people do this. Use one traditional name & a less mainstream name.It gives the child an alternative & options as to what they want to be known by.Whether that title is a very traditional one like Madelaine or a less mainstream & more contemporary name like West. I actually don’t think West is weird. Names like Easton & Weston (if you actually follow name trends etc) are coming back in & are being used more frequently. I prefer West for a boy & it’s a serious consideration for when I have a child. It’s going against Dylan . I’m not American, so West isn’t weird to me possible because of my culture & where I am from. Also, most celebs do give their children very normal names.

This might be one of the couple I like the most. They are both gorgeous, have a lot of ups and downs but after so many years in Hollywood, they are still together raising their great kids. It’s so common that it is special! <3
