With her run in Broadway’s Chicago coming to a close on Feb. 7th, singer-actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is getting ready to pack up her belongings and move from N.Y.C back to L.A.
But first, the new mom — son to Bronx Mowgli, 14 months — took some time to talk to Celebrity Baby Blog about her son’s love of forts, parenting with husband Pete Wentz and her work with Hershey’s candies!

Introducing Vida Alves McConaughey! Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves share a personal snapshot of their now 3 ½-week-old baby girl on the actor’s Web site. Not pictured is big brother Levi, 18 months.

In a candid new interview, Billie Piper opens up about the highs and lows of first-time motherhood. “It’s so hard,” she admits, “and when people say, ‘Oh, it will be a breeze having your next child,’ I can’t really imagine how.”
Noting that making 15-month-old Winston James a big brother would plunge her right back into sleep deprivation, Billie says that she already has her hands full during the daytime hours with her firstborn, who has started having tantrums. She confesses,
“It’s so embarrassing when you are out in public because you feel like everyone is staring at you.”
Husband Laurence Fox is “really cool” with Winston and “makes a great dad,” Billie says, but there were some growing pains along the way as the couple adjusted to life as a family of three. “We laugh a lot because now all our photographs are of one of us with him, rather than any of us together as a couple,” Billie notes.
Although initially Laurence and Billie, 27, planned to alternate jobs so that one parent was always with Winston, the approach “failed miserably” according to the Secret Diary of a Call Girl star.
Fortunately, Billie’s mom Mandy was able to step in and care for Winston while Billie shoots the Showtime series.
“My mum has been brilliant and Winston gets great treatment. I am very lucky to have great people around me.”

With a five-year age gap between her two children, Julianne Moore is experiencing two different extremes of parenting.
Daughter Liv Helen, 7 ½, “likes school, likes reading” and is on her way to mastering the English language, the actress laughs during a recent visit to The Jay Leno Show.
“She’s still little enough where she mispronounces words. She can’t say ‘breakfast,’ she says, ‘Brehfest,’ Julianne shares.
“She goes to the ‘libary’ where she gets some ‘brooks,’ she’s ‘opposed’ to do her homework, and she lives in ‘You Nork.”
On the brink of his teenage years, son Cal, 12, is also concentrating his efforts on a new skill: charming the ladies! Cal, who is “very into girls,” and his friends recently celebrated his birthday party at a restaurant and took advantage of their “good-natured” waitress to test out their luck.
“They were trying their lines and I said, ‘What do you mean your lines? Like come-on lines?’” Julianne recalls. “And he goes, ‘No Mommy, pick-up lines.’”
After Cal started out “really adorable” — asking “Hey, hey, do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice!” — the waitress’ heart was stolen! “She’s like, ‘Awww, they’re so cute!’” says Julianne.
However, noting that their age inevitably led them into dirtier territory, the lines quickly went down hill from there.
“Then it’s like, ‘Do you work for UPS? Because I notice you’re checking out my package.’ And she was like, ‘Yuck! That’s disgusting!’ And then of course they follow it with, ‘You must work at Subway because you’re giving me a foot-long.’ So, at that point, she walks away and says, ‘You kids are gross!’”
Cal and Liv are Julianne’s children with husband Bart Freundlich.

The winter weather stayed in the city overnight, as New Yorkers woke up to snow flurries Thursday morning!
