Babies and Bumps at the Boom Boom Room

Jen Lowery/Splash News Online

As many celebrities hit the Golden Globe Awards this past weekend, they also checked out another perk — pre-show gifting suites.

The Boom Boom Room, now in its fifth year, was held Saturday and Sunday at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles and had quite the turnout.

At left, Rita Rocks star Nicole Sullivan cuddles with her new addition, 4-month-old son Beckett Edward.

Nicole is also mom to Dashel Pierce, 2 ½, with husband Jason Packham.

William H. Macy: Bedtime Routine Can Become a 'Burden'

Anna Pocaro/London Entertainment/Splash News Online

His wife, actress Felicity Huffman, may play a frazzled mother-of-four on her hit show Desperate Housewives, but William H. Macy insists the same doesn’t ring true in his own household with daughters Sofia Grace, 9, and Georgia Grace, 7 ½ — aside from a few hours at bedtime!

“I realize the pandemonium of the nighttime — finishing dinner, getting homework done, cleaned up, getting them into their nightgowns, reading and getting them into bed,” he tells OK!.

And while he may “really miss it when I’m away,” the actor can’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed at times by the evening chaos.

“It’s a burden when you’re at home, and it’s easy to get cranky with them because we’re trying to get the whole nighttime put-down into about an hour. And it can very easily take two hours.”

While William and Felicity “used to take them back and help them get their nightgowns on and brush their teeth,” the couple have shelled out more of the responsibility to their daughters. “Now we say, ‘Go do it!’” he shares.

That said, the girls — who are also in charge of setting and clearing the dinner table and keeping their rooms straightened — are all about the breezing through their chores as quickly as possible. The incentive? A good book!

“They love to read, so the carrot is reading. The stick is, ‘Hey, the longer it takes you to brush your teeth and get your nightgown on, the less reading time.’ And they will do anything to get more reading time,’” he reveals, adding that they are allowed 45 minutes of quiet time each night. “Now, sometimes we’ll put them in bed and they’ve gone into each other’s rooms and read to each other.”

Mini Must-Have: Ryder Robinson’s Cool T-Shirt!

Credit: INF

Last weekend, we spotted newly 6-year-old Ryder Russell (mom is actress Kate Hudson and dad is musician Chris Robinson) having fun playing with a Nerf gun while wearing a super cute, bright-colored t-shirt.

After some digging, we found out his top was designed by Hatchling Kids — an adorable (and hip!) line of organic kids tees made with soft Supima cotton and eco-friendly inks.

Ryder’s style is called Rabbit Food ($26) and it sports a fun, quirky design of a veggie-eating rabbit.

Love the brand as much as we do? The company has loads of other cool styles including Dress Up ($26) and Monkey Around Green ($26). Check them out here!

Kourtney Kardashian and Mason Dodge the Drops!

Albert Michael/Startraks

New mom Kourtney Kardashian took advantage of a break in the rain to run a few errands with her sleeping baby boy, Mason Dash, Wednesday in Los Angeles.

The reality star says she’s enjoying the transition into motherhood, even if the timing of her outings has to coincide with her 5-week-old son’s naps!

“We’re on Mason’s schedule, waking up every couple of hours to breastfeed. But it’s fun to get up and see him. I miss him by the time I see him again,” she says.

Mason is the first child for Kourtney, 30, and boyfriend Scott Disick.

Caught Caring: Jane Kaczmarek and Smile Train

Celebrity Baby Blog – Caught Caring

For most of us smiling is an effortless act, occurring dozens of times — spontaneously — throughout the course of a day. Children afflicted with a cleft lip and palate are unable to smile, however, leading to isolation and depression. All their suffering could be alleviated with a surgery lasting 45 minutes and costing just $250, but for many the price tag is quite simply too steep.

The Smile Train has made it a mission to provide free cleft surgery for millions of children living in underdeveloped countries, as well as free cleft-related training for doctors and medical professionals. Malcolm in the Middle star Jane Kaczmarek recently traveled to India on behalf of the organization, and was struck by the work that’s being done. “It’s such a tangible way of knowing that you’re making a difference,” she explained in a recent interview. “You are giving children a life.”

“They will go to school, they’ll be able to get a job. They’ll be able to have a friend…Knowing you are able to give another mother a chance to see [her] child smile, is the greatest gift a mother can give.”
