Our fave budget-friendly fashion retailer — Forever 21 — has branched out into kidswear. Starting today, you can stock up on hip, affordable duds for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 from the company’s newly launched line, HTG81.

They’ve got everything from graphic tees and classic cardigans to animal print minis and denim jeggings. And with prices ranging from $3 to $23, you’ll have no problem finding stylish pieces for your little ones that won’t break the bank.

Not sure where to start? Check out the “Shop These Looks” feature or the online “Lookbook“. It’s like having a personal e-stylist for your child.

Wow!

This further makes me wish my hubby and I already had kids, lol! I’m sure they’ve got some adorable {and best of all, affordable} pieces. And, one stop shopping for mommy and the kiddos – NICE!

kind of turned off that I can’t find the skirt featured in the photo you posted and also on the “bottoms” page of their site…can anyone else?

I can get to the bottoms just fine however I too find it annoying that some of the pieces they have the kids wearing are not actually for sale. lame!

I adore the store so was happy to see them add a children’s line.

Luckily enough, I noticed the store nearest me is one of the locations where they’ll be selling HTG81 apparel. I’m hoping to stop there sometime this weekend to pick out a few of their graphic tees for my son.

I love the styles and the price, but be forewarned: their clothes are very cheaply made. Also, they have some of the sluttiest adult clothing, yet the owners are devoutly religious.

awesome! my son is not even three yet but I’m not a fan of traditional baby/toddler clothes and I’m always on the look for this kind of style for my kid. So yay there is another option at least in few years.

Who cares if the clothes are cheaply made? Kids grow up of them so fast. A cute top might only fit your daughter for one or two summers, anyway, so it doesn’t really matter if it falls apart right after that. Besides, instead of buying your kid one $20 quality item, why not buy two $10 cheap items? Twice as many items take twice as long to wear!

Colleen, for children, who cares? They grow fast enough as it is. I’d rather not waste a fortune on items that will only fit for a few months.

As for the adult clothing, I really don’t think it’s all that promiscuous. I find other clothing stores, such as Wet Seal, are much worse when it comes to that. Regardless, people buy what they like. I don’t think people need to pre-warned about anything.

Also, what does the owner’s level of religion have to do with anything? It’s just a fact that’s not relevant.

colleen has a point…

not to nitpick on Forever 21, because they are just one example, but everything is becoming disposable in US culture and we are encouraging it by buying products like these.

the reason these clothes are inexpensive is because workers are not paid very much, and the standards of quality are low.

There is nothing wrong with buying quality kids clothes… Plus, you can always pass them down, or donate them to a charity when your child outgrows them.

I’ve never had a problem with the clothes I’ve bought from there so I don’t see the problem. To each his/her own, though.

The point I was trying to make is that the owners are very religious, they have religious/Bible verses on the shopping bags and donate a large portion of proceeds to religious things.

that little cutie on the right is my son! We loved the forever 21 shoot. The clothes seemed well made. I loved all the stylish stuff! HE loved the outfits they put him in. I can’t wait until there is a kids section where we live.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
