James McAvoy, Wife Expecting First Child

James McAvoy is poised for first-time fatherhood. The Atonement and Wanted star, 30, is expecting a baby with wife Anne-Marie Duff.

“We are happy to confirm that James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff are expecting their first child,” rep Rupert Fowler said in a statement. “We have no further comment or information at this time.”

Married since October 2006 to Anne-Marie, 39, who is best known for her role in the British television drama Shameless, James and his wife are currently costarring in The Last Station with Helen Mirren.

Next up for the actor? A role in Robert Redford‘s The Conspirator.

Anne-Marie Duff is one of my absolute fave celeb people. I admire her so much..she’s gorgeous at 39, she nabs a smoking hot guy nine years younger (I’m in my 30s that gives me hope lol!), she’s always so charming and nice in interviews…I think she’s just fab and couldn’t be happier for them. Oh my gosh ladies, seriously!! My comment about the cougar label was a compliment to her. I dated a guy ten years younger for a year and a half and I got that sometimes and it was always a funny compliment and I was never in the slightest bit offended.
