Kourtney Kardashian: Motherhood Is Fulfilling

Last January, Kourtney Kardashian was a staple on the social scene.

This year, there’s only one guy she’s spending face time with:  Mason Dash, 4 weeks, the son she and her boyfriend, Scott Disick, welcomed on Dec. 14.

“I’m just loving all the time with him,” Kourtney, 30, tells Life & Style. “I really don’t miss my old life. I can’t imagine life without Mason now.”

Kourtney is the first to admit that her schedule has done a 180 since she’s become a mom.

“I used to get up and literally not stop until at least midnight,” Kourtney says.

Having ditched her high-paced social life, she’s now happiest playing house.

“I really don’t miss my freedom at all — there’s nothing I’d rather do than be home with Mason and Scott,” explains Kourtney.

“We relax, eat, sleep, play. Our biggest plans now are taking Mason out for a stroll or giving Mason his first bath. It’s amazing how fulfilling those things are for me.”

But Kourtney wasn’t always sure she’d be this content with motherhood.

“She was definitely scared before she had Mason, asking, ‘Am I going to be a great mother? Am I going to love this baby as much as I should?’” says Scott, 26. “And that all went out the door.”

In fact, her devotion to their child has brought the couple with the rocky past closer than ever. “She’s just ridiculously good with Mason,” Scott says. “She’s perfection. It’s made me fall a little bit more in love with her.”

Kourtney is my new favorite celeb mom, she seems like she’s doing a great job, and I love how she’s totally smitten with her new man :) It’s hard to see the cover of that mag though, I hope Kendra’s little Hank isn’t hidden behind the “baby diary” text…

I’m so happy for her. She looks great and the baby is adorable! And I definitely love Scott’s comments about Kourtney.

- Sunny on

What an absolutely adorable little guy, Kourt looks great! I’m so happy for her & glad she is as happy with her new life as mommy, hope this article shuts-up all of the previous haters…hehe!!

- Lady on

Kourt looks amazing! I’m glad she’s enjoying motherhood!

- m-dot on

I do believe her when she says Mason changed her life. Before she couldn’t decide really what she was doing. I imagine she got a slap in the face when she had Mason because she realized he needs 100% of her attention.

- Natasha on

I love when celebrities do 180′s when they become parents! Love Kourtney, and her sisters!

- Lacey on

I love Kourtney!! She is beautiful!! Her and Scott made a handsome little guy, Mason Dash!! Love the name as well!!! Congratulations!! Enjoy this time in your life!!

- Katie on

I still find their life strange. Neither one of them work during the day? I guess it is good for Mason that he will always have the attention of his parents.

- Sarah on

He’s a beautiful baby. I’m glad that she kept him. She made a good decision, and from what her post says, she agrees.

- DS on

He’s precious. I’m so glad she has become such a great parent. Mason Dash, still can’t get over how much i love that name.

- Luna on

Adorable baby, gorgeous mom!

- Shannon on

I really do think she’s the most beautiful of the Kardashian sisters, there’s something about Kourtney. And that beautiful baby of hers! She seems to be on the Nicole Richie motherhood track, which is wonderful for her and Mason. So happy for this new little family!

- Alex on

I don’t mean to be mean or negative, but aren’t the statements about not missing her ‘freedom’ a little premature?
I mean the kid is 4 weeks old. It hasn’t been that long yet and the novelty probably hasn’t worn off.
It’s great that she’s so happy though and that things are going so well. A new baby is a stressful time and she sounds like it’s been a positive change for her rather than a negative one.

- Mrs. R. on

Mason is Kourtney’s dad made over.

- aj on

I don’t know why, but I find this interview funny. Kourtney and her boyfriend are saying all the cliched things about being new parents… “I can’t imagine life without Mason” “It made us fall more in love.” It’s as if they think they know everything about being a parent now that their 1st child is 4 weeks old. Haha…

- annalee on

Kourtney has always been my favorite of the sisters… don’t know why… it’s just that way with me.

I simply have to say again that I think Mason is PRECIOUS… and I am stunned to see just how much like his grandpa, Robert Kardashian, he looks.

- Kat on

Kourtney is my favorite of the sisters, she does not appear to be as neeeded as the others. Not a fan of Scott but now that reality tv is so scripted he could be a 1/2 decent person but ratings may decide that he should be more over the top.

Kourtney is not a teenager and I’m sure that she has been so far and will continue to be a good mother.

- Meela on

Aw, Mason (I love his name!) is so adorable!!! I just love it when people do a complete 180 once they have children and I’m so happy for Kourtney and Scott!! His comment on Kourtney was so sweet!! I wish them all the best!

- Lola on

I don’t understand the negativity. I don’t think Kourtney really meant anything in using the word freedom. It’s pretty much her saying she doesn’t miss the party girl life she used to have, just worded a little differently. And for those of you who are carrying on about how happy she is with her baby, what do you have against her joy over a new child? I bet you gushed and acted excited while talking about him/her. Somehow, I get the feeling that some people on here are a little bitter. Do you always comment on how the ‘novelty will go away’ when anyone has something happy to say? And it’s pretty uncalled for to talk about her kid having a meltdown in the middle of a mall, Sonia. You must have children who do that alot to think all children will.

- Livvy on

p.s. I meant to say “those of you carrying on over how her happiness won’t last long or whatever” instead of “those of you who are carrying on about how happy she is with her baby”

- Livvy on

He is gorgeous. What a little cutie! I can’t focus on him though because I keep staring at Kourtney’s hair. I wish I had hair like that…

- Hea on

I agree Livvy. Gosh forbid a new mother should be thrilled about her new baby. Nope. Must find a way to dump cold water on a new mom because my mommy-hood isn’t happy.

But when Sarah Jessica Parker was gushing over her twins, nothing but praise.

Kourtney has a very cute little guy.

- Haleiwa on

Kourtney is one of my Favourite Celebrity mum’s. Mason is sooo cute..

- Chloe on

I am so happy 4 her, i hope that being a mom is as full and joyful as it is for me. I absoutluly love her, shes so pretty and i wish her the best with her main man and of course scott. Love ya!!!!!!

- letty on

I am glad that she is enjoying her new baby. I know that I enjoyed mine when they were that fresh.

She will probably end up changing her life just like Nicole Richie. Hopefully, Scott will be a stand up guy just like Joel.

- mochababe73 on

That baby definatly is a Kardashian. To me he looks like Robert Sr and Jr.

- Kelly on

that baby is so cute, he has kourtney’s features but scott’s chin and big blue eyes, he is so cute. the magazine has cute pics of him. kourtney is so pretty, and I love the kardashian show, love how close the entire family is.

- luciana on

Every fibre of my being screams: PR spin…maybe this is her, maybe this is her tryting to be the new Nicole Richie. I don’t mind either way and wish them all the best but I honestly have no idea who the Kardashian sisters are or why they are famous!

- moose on

That is one beautiful little boy…and he looks so much like Rob, Kourtney’s brother, who also looks like his father, the late Robert Kardashian, Sr. I don’t have much respect for the Kardashian lifestyle, the lewdness of their behavior and comments, but Kourtney has always seemed to be a tad less crude than the other sisters. I hope that she has grown up and enjoys her motherhood to little Mason. I’ll reserve my comments on Scott Disick…can’t figure out how she could let him back into the picture in the first place, but that was her decision. At least she has beautiful little Mason out of the relationship.

- Sobi on

moose, they are just one of the crop of new “celebs” who are famous for having money, just being everywhere, at parties and functions, in tabloid-worthy relationships, in every PR op they can grab, and who have put their lives on display on “reality” TV. Robert Kardashian, Sr. was a well-known, prominent attorney who was part of the “Dream Team” in the OJ Simpson debacle. He actually worked for a living, made a fortune on high-profile cases and gave those kids absolutely everything money could buy, along with their mother, Kris. Kris is one of the worst of the bunch when it comes to craving the spotlight and publicity; she married Bruce Jenner and had two more daughters with him and he kind of just goes along for the ride, being run over by all the women in the house (Rob, the only son, is fairly quiet.) None of them, including Kris, treat him with very much respect and make fun of him behind his back and to his face. Kris is the epitome of a stage mother. She pushed her girls into just about every venue that would bring a little publicity and money, including Playboy shoots. All the girls, including Kris, have the worst trash-mouths and, although Bruce is embarrassed by it, he just takes a back seat and just lets life happen around him. I guess, in his own right, he got a tiny piece of fame out of it by marrying into the family and signing on for “reality” TV since falling out of the spotlight as an Olympic decathlete and Wheaties spokesperson. He is also one of the worst male plastic surgery victims I’ve seen, having had his nose so severely reconstructed that it’s barely there. He has spoken out about his regrets in what he’s had done to his face and I think his self-confidence has taken a beating…the women in that house do a good job at making sure he has no self-confidence, as well, and dish out verbal “beatings” to him on a regular basis. I watched a few episodes of their “reality” show and censorship was so prevalent that you could hear a string of “bleeps” when they talked, especially when Khloe was in high gear.

- Sobi on

I don’t get why people are hating on Scott so much. Yes, he made some bad choices, but guess what? People change, and that’s exactly what Scott seems to be doing! Good for you, Scott, for turning your life around for your girlfriend and son! :)

- CelebBabyLover on

moose, totally agree. I think “trying to be the new nicole richie” is spot on. I hate this whole “famous for being famous”/reality tv “star”-thing and it’s ridiculous how you’re called “negative” here for stating so. I’m not negative, I’m just not buying it.
