Mini Must-Have: Sasha Obama’s Slouchy Boots!

On Jan. 4, Sasha Obama — along with the rest of the first family — was all smiles upon returning to the White House from her recent holiday trip to Hawaii.

The stylish tween, 8, traded in her vacation duds for a chic cold-weather ensemble including knit hat, wool coat, floral dress, tights, heart print bag and suede boots for the ride home.

We love the look, especially her Steve Madden Kids “Sha” boots ($79, below). The slouchy style and neutral color make them the perfect winter shoe.

This trend of calling pre-adolsecents ‘tweens’ is so annoying. Why not just call Sasha a ‘young lady’? It’s much more classy, IMO. Her outfit is sharp! But her parents dress very nicely so she will too. I wish more young people cared about how they look instead of wearing tees and hoodies a lot of the time.

Last winter she had a pair of primigi Jackie quilted boots and they were so cute. Sasha must have a very nice shoe collection.

Just wanted to weigh in as well, an 8 year old is not a tween! Kids have so little time just being kids, it is hardly necessary to age them by title well before they’re ready.

I’ll agree that tween is a pretty annoying term. It’s up there with “sexting” and any twitter related word for me. Also, I agree that she is not a tween, but a young girl or lady. Eight is like third grade right?!

I do like the boots though and would consider buying some (though I would go for the Target brand lol). I think the Obama girls dress very cute and fashionable and most of all appropriately, just like their mother.

They have them in Kohl’s (Candies) for like $30.00 …very cute. I personally got mine for $25.00 and I love them!!

Meela, Kimberlee Chrisman can say what ever she wants about not agreeing with his politics. And she said it in a nice way. Don’t call someone out just because they don’t like him. As for my post, she is a very very cute little girl, and it shows that they love their girls very much. Even though I don’t agree with anything that comes out of our President’s mouth and dislike him more than anything. Very cute kids.

Sasha looks great. Just like her mother. Sasha’s style is so cute and feminine. My nephew has such a crush on her; his imaginary friend’s name is Sasha.

Kiki – $80 for boots being expensive is relative. I wouldn’t have a problem spending it. How would it look if one was walking around with Chloe, Gucci, and Marc Jacobs and the kids are wearing Wal-Mart?

Cat and Kimberlee Chrisman – CBB had a rule not long ago where they would not post comments with “but” because they were are usually negative. Folks like you make me wish that rule was in effect. Comment on the style and leave the comments for Fox. That will keep this site much more enjoyable.

The point is, why would you throw your opinion of her dad in while discussing her boots? When the Bush twins rocked an outfit I never threw in that I didn’t like their dad. I’m sure a kid would like to be recognized for who they are – not who they’re related to.

Some people may be sensitive on the issue because you rarely see any mention of the Obamas without some kind of comment, whether positive or negative. I agree with J-Lin. Comment on the kid’s shoes, and leave it at that. It was going out of the way and reaching to comment on dislike of Obamas politics. What does that have to do with the kids boots. I don’t care for Palin’s politics, but I like the child’s boots. Still makes about as much sense.
