Star-Worthy Find: Yubo Eco-Friendly Lunch Boxes

Courtesy of Yubo

Keeping a lunch box clean isn’t easy. There’s those messy spills that seep into hard to get places and the food stains that never seem to come out. Well, hip design company yuboAli Landry‘s a fan — has the answer!

The company’s brand new eco-friendly lunch boxes ($22 to $30) feature a patent-pending modular design so you can take them apart for easy and safe dishwasher cleaning. And forget plastic baggies! The deluxe version ($30) comes with three removable and reusable food containers (one square sandwich size and two round snack sizes) and an ice pack that are also dishwasher safe. Plus, they’re completely BPA-free, 100 percent recyclable and treated with an anti-microbial agent to keep germs at bay.

Now here’s the fun part! They’re also fully customizable. Choose from the company’s standard faceplates — celeb mom-to-be Tiffani Thiessen‘s husband, Brady Smith, created a design. Or upload your own photo. You can also personalize it with your kids name.

Layla Kayleigh’s Blog: Melody Snuggles Up to Santa!

Check out the second installment of Layla Kayleigh‘s blog below!

The America’s Best Dance Crew co-host is letting CBB readers follow along as she tackles first-time motherhood — daughter Melody Rain is now 8 weeks old. If you missed her first entry, click here to read!

Melody the Red-Nosed Reindeer Meets Santa

We decided because this was Melody’s first Christmas, we would take her to go get a picture with Santa. There’s a cool place in Los Angeles called The Grove where they have a really awesome Santa house every year.

I bought this reindeer outfit from Diapers.com (which is an awesome site for parents, they have absolutely everything, impeccable customer service and two day delivery!) to wear for the holidays, so I thought what better time to wear it than to meet Santa for her first time?

I must say the holidays have become so much more important to me after having a child.

I know that one day Melody will look back on her memories—and even though she’s too young to realize now what’s going on—I want her to have pictures to look back on and know how loved she was.

Who we are today is molded by our experiences as children, so I want to do everything I can to give Melody the best childhood ever, starting with her first Christmas.

As far as meeting Santa went, I doubt she’ll ever remember it; especially since she slept through the whole thing! I was trying to wake her up while we were in line, but she was in dreamland dreaming of lots of milk and boobies I’m sure!

Even the nice Santa elves were trying to wake her up with soft bells, but nothing was working. However as soon, and I mean as soon as we walked out of Santa’s house, Melody woke up and wanted to play! Go figure.

At least when she’s a little older, I will be able to show her a picture of when she met Santa as evidence. Because everyone knows Santa is a busy man and doesn’t make appearances too often! ;)

Wishing you and yours a happy holiday season!

Much love,

Layla

Maggie Gyllenhaal: Ramona's Ready to Flamenco!

Splash News Online

Watch out Suri Cruise, there is some new competition on the dance floor!

During a humorous visit to the Late Show with David Letterman last week, a giddy Maggie Gyllenhaal was counting down the days until Christmas, noting that this year would mark 3-year-old Ramona‘s first meaningful holiday. “She’s just starting to know what they’re all about,” Maggie explains.

And while she still may not have a grasp on the holiday as a whole, Ramona had no trouble creating her wish-list with the help of her parents!

With dad Peter Sarsgaard shooting a movie in Sevilla, Spain recently, the couple sat down with their daughter to show her a bit of the region’s culture. “We looked up a YouTube thing of a flamenco dancer,” Maggie laughs. One video later and Ramona’s interest was sparked!

“[Ramona's] really girly-girl and she wants a green flamenco dress [for Christmas]…and I have a feeling she’s going to get one!”

If Santa did deliver on his promise, the dress was sure to be a hit. Add the flamenco flair to Ramona’s already exceptional dance skills, and Maggie boasts that she’s got talent on her hands.

“She can dance man. And I worry about that when people say, ‘Oh my kid is going to be this, oh my kid is going to be that,’” she admits, before adding,

“But, my girl, she’s a dancer.”
