Tom Brady: I Know Baby's Sex – But Gisele Doesn't

Bauer Griffin

Tom Brady knows how to keep a secret! Just ask Gisele Bündchen, whose husband found out the sex of their baby – due this month – even though she’s waiting on a surprise.

“I’m really the only one that knows at this point,” Tom, 32, said in an interview with WEEI Sports Radio on Wednesday. “My dad asked me. I haven’t told him. [Gisele] doesn’t know. It’s a pretty good feeling knowing something that no one else knows.”

Especially, Tom adds, because he’s been able to keep it from Gisele, 29. “She’s a very intelligent woman,” he explains. “I wanted to find out and she didn’t, so she said, ‘Go ahead.’ It will be a surprise for her.”

The Patriots quarterback admits that he’s had to be careful with his pronouns as of late. “I always mix it,” he added. “I don’t think I’ve ever slipped. I’m very conscious when I’m saying it.”

So will their nursery at their luxe Boston condo be blue or pink? “There’s no paint yet!” joked Tom, adding that he hasn’t shared yet whether or not his 2-year-old son Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan, will have to start sharing his hand-me-downs. “Everything is unisex at this point. Yellow. Light green. There’s lots of this.”

Sunday Kidman Urban Is in the 'Raccoon Phase'

Christopher Peterson/BuzzFoto/FilmMagic

Things are topsy-turvy at the Kidman-Urban house – and there’s a 16-month-old handful called Sunday Rose to blame.

Keith Urban says his daughter with wife Nicole Kidman has entered a “great phase for her. It’s really sort of coming alive and communicative.” But that also means she’s into everything, he added.

“[Country singer] Kix Brooks said, ‘Is she in the raccoon phase? You know, just pulling every drawer and pulling everything out.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, she’s in the raccoon phase,’” Keith said, speaking to reporters Tuesday at a Nashville party for his latest No. 1 single, “Only You Can Love Me This Way.”

The country star, who is embarking on the Australian leg of his Escape Together World Tour, on Dec. 12, says he’s looking forward to introducing the curious toddler to Christmas in her parents’ homeland.

“We’ll be able to spend it with all of our extended family on Nic’s side and my side, so we’re really looking forward to that,” he says. “My sister-in-law on Nic’s side has four children and my brother has two, so there’ll be lots of kids running around.”

Kelly Rutherford: 'Young Mothers Aren't In the Norm Anymore'

Courtesy Mark Jason/Observer Playground

Crediting breastfeeding for her swift return to pre-baby form, actress Kelly Rutherford jokes in the holiday issue of Observer Playground, on newsstands December 9th, that her motivations aren’t entirely altruistic!

“If I can fit into my jeans like this forever, all of my kids will be nursed for longer,” she quips with a laugh. “No, no, no, you’re not done [nursing]; Those jeans must fit!”

All kidding aside, Kelly — mom to Hermés Gustaf Daniel, 3, and Helena Grace, 6 months next week — says that the calorie burn of breastfeeding accounts for only “part of” her success. Pointing out that “young mothers aren’t in the norm anymore,” she elaborates,

“I love food and can’t deny myself food and I really think that’s key. And I know I am 40 vs. 20 and I want to be around for my kids. For me, it became more about working out. The more I deal with that, the less I am eating stuff that will make me gain weight.”

In the interview, the Gossip Girl star goes on to admit that the decision to name her firstborn Hermés began with a joke at her baby shower.

“All of my girlfriends said I should name him Hermés so every day I can carry around things that have his name on it,” she reveals. “I liked the name itself because it was a Greek god, and very strong. And Helena, the same thing, both kind of Greek-y.”

Staying positive in the wake of her acrimonious split from estranged husband Daniel Giersch remains a priority for Kelly, who relies on sage advice from a friend. “Worship all that you see and more will appear,” she shares, explaining that “if you look at all the good things in your life, you will find that it increases the value.”

Kelly has two very good things indeed in Hermés and Helena, whom she singles out as her motivation to move forward.”I have to, what’s the alternative?” she asks. “I can’t let my kids see me fall apart just because of gossip so I just have to figure it out.” She adds,

“If I sat on my couch I don’t think I would stand up for a lot of it. I think I am better off, focusing again on what gets us through any hard time, is love. The beautiful children need me to stay strong and also, keep going and keep thinking and learning.”

Right/Fame

Why is Camila Alves in such a good mood?

It could be because the 26-year-old model — currently expecting her second child with actor Matthew McConaughey — just landed a new gig!

Camila will be hosting the third season of Bravo’s Shear Genius, it was announced earlier today. The show is set to premiere February 3rd.

She was spotted out and about with 16-month-old son Levi in Los Angeles on Monday, picking up some flowers for the family home.

The couple expect their new arrival in late December/early January.

Meet William Wolf Howey!

When Sarah Shahi looks back on 2009, she’ll likely remember it as the year she added tons of new roles to her résumé.

Besides landing a starring part in the new USA series Facing Kate, the Life and L Word alum eloped with actor Steve Howey in Las Vegas on February 6th.

Then, five months and two days later, she and her new hubby welcomed their son, William Wolf.

“In a matter of seconds, you’re handed this life that you’re responsible for, and I was totally nervous,” the 29-year-old told Life & Style during an exclusive interview at the family’s LA home on November 11th.

“It’s a lot of trial and error. I still feel like a child myself!”

But she’s happily adjusting to life as a grown-up.

“Wolf is delicious,” Sarah raves. “Everything he does is adorable — even his little farts in the bathtub. The tiny little bubbles that come up? They’re so cute! I am such a mom.”

At one point, though, Sarah cringed at the thought of having a baby.

“I came from a single parent household,” she explains. “And I had a bad example of what a husband and father could be and how irresponsible a father could be. So because of that I didn’t want to get married or have kids.”

A negligent dad is something she never has to worry about with hands-on, protective Steve, 32, who helped deliver Wolf during Sarah’s at-home water birth. “When I look at him as a father, he’s so sexy to me,” she says. “It’s such a turn-on to watch him with the baby.”

In fact, the couple’s passion is what inspired their son’s unusual moniker. “Steve kind of has these fangs,” Sarah says. “I said, ‘Has anyone ever told you that you look like a wolf?’ I called him Wolfie. So when we were struggling with names, we decided Wolf would be sentimental and meaningful.”

And perhaps a sign of the active little animal who’s had nannyless Sarah functioning on four hours of sleep for the past four months.

“I don’t have enough hours in the day to get things done between being a mom, working on the show, working out and trying to be a dutiful wife,” she says. “I’m in zombie mode all the time!”
