Like Foodie, Like Son for Tom Colicchio

Amanda Schwab/Startraks

Like father, like son: Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio may already have a foodie on his hands with 4-month-old son Luka Bodhi.

“He’s definitely a big eater and loves to eat like me,” Tom told PEOPLE before joining Julia Roberts and John Krasinski on Monday for a game of celebrity charades at the Labyrinth Theater Company’s gala benefit sponsored by Entertainment Weekly in New York City.

“He’s only on breast milk right now, and even at night time, when he wakes up, you just stick a bottle in his mouth or breastfeed him and he goes right back to sleep.”

Tom, 47, has already even tested his son’s palate by giving him a small taste of solid food.

“I put a little piece of bread in his mouth just to see if there would be a reaction from him, and I also took a bit of a strawberry once and put it on my fingers and had him taste it,” he said.

And what was the verdict from the cooking judge’s son? “He didn’t cry so I think he liked it,” he said.

As for being a new parent again, the Bravo star said “it’s easier the second time around” thanks to his prior experience as a dad. His first son, Dante, is now 16.

“We started off splitting the feedings and I change diapers and do the whole bit,” said Tom of life with wife Lori Silverbush. “With my first son, when he was born, I stayed at home with him. I was between restaurants so I spent the whole year with him. So I’m an old hand at it. There’s nothing like being a dad and I really enjoy it.”

The crew was filming at the Santa Justa rail station for the day, but Tom Cruise took time between takes to get down on Suri’s level to chat with her (see extended post).

Celeb Moms Keep Curls in Place with Hair Rules!

Hair Rules

Ever wonder how busy celeb moms like Kelis and Solange Knowles keep their tresses shiny and frizz-free? They use Hair Rules ($20 to $45)—a complete care line designed specifically for multi-textured hair.

Created by N.Y.C.-based celebrity stylist Dickey, each product is made to hydrate and coat curls so they’re soft, not crunchy. Just make sure you shop based on your hair type (wavy, curly, kinky) for the best results.

The collection (which is sulfate and paraben free!) is also safe to use on your little ones. We especially recommend the gentle Cleansing Cream ($22 for 8 fl. oz.)—there’s no eye irritating suds!

Josh Kelley Pens Song for Naleigh

Cheyenne Ellis/AP

In March — when singer Josh Kelley makes his country debut — the impact that fatherhood has had on his music will be evident for all the world to see.

The as-yet-untitled album will contain the track Naleigh Moon, dedicated to Naleigh, his 1-year-old daughter with actress Katherine Heigl.

“I don’t think I could’ve ever written a song like that without having a kid,” he notes in a new interview with The Boot. “You know how people write songs about things that they don’t really experience, but they’re so good at writing that they can do that? That’s not me.” He adds,

“I have to experience it to write about it. And when my little girl started touching my beard and wanting me to hold her instead of other people, I was like, ‘Aw, she’s mine! And she loves me!’”

From the sound of things, Naleigh might join her father someday in pursuing a career in the music industry. “She wakes up singing, instead of crying, which is awesome,” Josh, 29, quips. “She’s going to be a singer for sure.”

“She’s a good baby. She’s spoiling us.”
