After a trip to the park in Primrose Hill on Wednesday, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale had energy to spare, as the 3 ½-year-old showed off his toys to the paparazzi snapping photos!

Little brother Zuma Nesta Rock, 15 months, took a more laid back approach, lounging in his stroller with a bottle while being pushed by Gwen Stefani.

Mark Consuelos Chats About Holiday Plans

Jeffrey Mayer/Wireimage

Before he was honored at the Aid for AIDS International Awards’ My Hero Gala last week, Mark Consuelos was quick to downplay the notion that his efforts at home are anything approaching heroic. “Well, it’s the basic things, like taking the kids to school,” the 38-year-old actor explains. “I think it’s a family effort.”

“The hero becomes the family, and the family becomes the hero. I don’t think I’m the hero in the family.”

An admitted stickler for keeping things tidy, Mark says that Christmas morning in the home he shares with wife Kelly Ripa and the couple’s three children Michael Joseph, 12, Lola Grace, 8 ½, and Joaquin Antonio, 6 ½, is organized chaos.

“I’m pretty neat, so it’s a lot of garbage bags and a vacuum cleaner,” he explains. “By noon, all the stuff’s gone, the presents are away and you have your house back.”

Speaking of presents, the kids want “everything” under the tree but “one of them is afraid they’re going to get coal,” Mark jokes. “I’m not going to say which one, but they’re convinced they’re going to get coal.” Gifts — both naughty and nice — will be opened in an idyllic setting, however, with Mark revealing,

“We’re probably going to go someplace where there’s a lot of snow, and there’ll be a tree, and there’ll be presents when we wake up in the morning. It’s a very simple thing.”

Kelly, for her part, said she was looking forward to fulfilling a Christmas tradition of her own with Lola. “We go to the Nutcracker every year, but I vow every year to do it more,” she says. “That’s my contribution to cultural society.”

Review: Eco-Friendly Toy Shop Rosie Hippo

Rosie Hippo

With toy recalls filling the evening news, we went in search of cool eco-friendly toy shops that would appeal to parents with modern tastes. We’re happy to report Rosie Hippo — a cool toy e-shop — totally fits the bill. Created in 2008 by a mom and dad who were hardpressed to find safe (but fun!) playthings for their new baby, the store stocks unique, hard-to-find toys made in small villages and cooperatives all over the globe.

We love the hand-painted medieval figurines ($30 for two) from Germany, the pink felt carry-along dollhouse including mini bear dolls (now $34, originally $65) from Nepal and the traditionally designed clay Ocarina — like a whistle — ($8) from Peru. Each one will bring your child hours of (safe) delight.

Added bonus: Rosie Hippo gives back! Until December 31, the company will donate a toy to Room to Grow (an organization that works to enrich babies born into poverty through the first three years of their lives) for every order over $100.

Amy Graves/WireImage

Sharing her pregnancy with fans via various TwitPics, the Kendra star expressed her joy — and choice in baby names — upon discovering that she would be welcoming a son.

“We’ve already decided to name our son Hank Baskett IV,” she explained. “Hank’s dad and his grandfather were both named Hank, so it was very important to us to carry on the family tradition.”

Marcia Gay Harden Embraces City Life With Her Family

Bryan Bedder/Getty

The secret is out: there is no secret to juggling life as a working mother! In a new interview with Time Out Kids, Marcia Gay Harden reveals that her seemingly put-together appearance when it comes to raising her children — Eulala Grace, 11, and twins Hudson Harden and Julitta Dee, 5 ½ –  is far from what it seems.

In addition to her “great and responsible husband” Thaddaeus Scheel, Marcia isn’t afraid to ask for a hand when needed!

“I’m fortunate to have a team of people who help me,” she confesses. “I’ve got an assistant, an office manager, a nanny — she’s not full-time, but she’s there when I need her.”

Despite the added assistance — “I certainly don’t keep [all the] balls in the air all by myself” — Marcia has been known to have the occasional mommy moment!

“The balls are dropping all the time.”

Born in California, Marcia has found herself captivated by city life. Truly enjoying everything New York City has to offer, Marcia and her family have laid down their roots in Harlem — a fact the actress is quite proud of!

“Harlem is a very family-oriented neighborhood and it always has been,” she states. Once “ignored by the city,” later resulting in a deep suffering “from crack and other drugs,” Harlem is back in full force, the mother-of-three proclaims, and it’s time to take note!

“Everybody says ‘Good Morning’ in Harlem because it’s true! And that’s lovely. It’s fantastic for us to live there, to be in such a diverse neighborhood. We feel welcome up there.”

And while other fellow celebrity moms may disagree, Marcia feels there is no noticeable roadblock when it comes to raising children in the city. “The only thing difficult about the city is when you have a little baby in a stroller and you’re trying to take the subway and you have to bump down the stairs,” she concedes.

The problem, however, is one that comes with a quick solution! “But then you fall in love with the city because some New Yorker inevitably helps you.”

Amanda Beard Shows Off Baby Blaise

Marc Royce for PEOPLE for use on CBB

Amanda Beard knows a thing or two about pushing through and finishing strong.

But neither her 15 years as a national competitive swimmer nor her seven Olympic medals prepared the athlete, 28, for the September 18 arrival of little Blaise Ray Brown.

“My races last 2 ½ minutes at most,” says the first-time mom. “I was in labor for 17 hours!”

But just like in the pool, the hard work paid off: Amanda and her husband, photographer Sacha Brown, 35, were instantly smitten with their 7 lbs. 12 oz. bundle of joy.

“Everyone says, ‘It’s such a miracle,’” says Amanda. “But you don’t truly understand until you go through the process. It’s surreal.”

Getting there was a struggle at times, as Amanda suffered from high blood pressure and found “24/7 sugar cravings” (forget pickles and ice cream; the lifelong athlete got her fix from “freezing Gatorade and drinking it all day, like a slushie”).

But the biggest hurdle for the 5’8″ stunner, who graced the cover of Playboy in 2007, was “accepting that you’re getting bigger and that it’s okay. You think for six months that you’re huge. But by the time nine months rolls around, you’re a whale.”

Amanda, who gained 50 lbs. during her pregnancy, has already lost more than 30 and recently started training in the pool four times a week.

“Swimming was always my No. 1 focus, but now it’s Blaise,” she says. “He’s at the top of my pyramid. All your priorities change — I just want what’s best for him. Motherhood is more rewarding than any medal or world record.”

Still, her goal — besides kicking butt when Blaise’s Mommy and Me classes start in January — is to compete in the 2012 Olympics in London.

“Training feels easy,” she marvels. “Compared to when I was pregnant and huge, workouts are fun.”

While Amanda and Sacha — who wed May 1st in the South Pacific — get the hang of the whole parenthood thing at home in Tucson (where they share a four-bedroom home with four German Shepherd mixes), their favorite activity is decidedly low-key: “We stare at him a lot,” says Amanda. “He just discovered he has hands; he thinks they’re the coolest things in the world.”

Could discovering his backstroke be next? Blaise hasn’t ventured into the pool yet, but his mom is already encouraged by one of his favorite pastimes: “We put him in the bathtub,” she says. “He loves it.”
