Christina Milian: Baby-on-the-Way Is a Girl

Splash News Online

Fresh on the heels of her baby shower last Saturday, Christina Milian has apparently changed her mind about keeping the sex of her late February arrival a secret! The 28-year-old actress and singer has revealed to OK! that the baby she expects with The Dream is a girl.

Although she is admittedly “nervous” about giving birth, her husband has gone a long way in easing her fears.

“As long as Dream is right next to me, I’ll be fine.”

For now, the couple — who married in September — will be playing the waiting game, something Christina considers “the most nerve-wracking part of it all.” She adds,

“Every day I wonder, ‘What happens if she comes earlier than expected?’”

Alyson Hannigan Chats With CBB!

Kevin Perkins/Pacific Coast News

It’s been a banner year for Alyson Hannigan — to say the least! Nominated for a People’s Choice Award for her work on How I Met Your Mother, the 35-year-old actress became a first-time mom as well, to 8-month-old Satyana Marie.

With so much going on it’s no wonder Alyson is looking for ways to save time, and she’s found a great one in Cascade Complete All-in-1 ActionPacs. Convenient and efficient, the tiny tabs eliminate the need to pre-wash dishes before loading into the dishwasher, buying Alyson a few extra minutes with baby girl and husband Alexis Denisof when there is rarely a minute to spare.

She recently chatted with Celebrity Baby Blog about her homebirth, the inspiration behind Satyana’s name, balancing family with work, and more. Click below to read our interview.

Kelis Says Motherhood 'Makes What's Important Clear'

Johnny Nunez/WireImage

As it does for many, motherhood has given Kelis a new perspective on life. “I don’t think it’s changed who I am, but I think it just makes what’s important clear,” she explains in a new interview with Honey.

Mom to 4 ½-month-old son Knight with estranged husband Nas, the 30-year-old songstress says she doesn’t even mind the 5 a.m. wake-up call from baby boy.

“Seeing that Knight’s awake and he’s got this bright, sunny, delicious face looking at me like, ‘Good morning mom.’ It’s literally the greatest thing to wake up to and it tickles me every time. I adore him.”

With a new album — tentatively titled Flesh Tones — due in stores next year, Kelis has been busy on the work front as well, but she says she  “never thought” about taking a break from music. “Organically, one thing just led to the other,” she explains before adding,

“I feel like your child should be a part of your life, not that your life should change because of your child. I never wanted to be that type of woman who couldn’t balance her family and work.”

Image is, of course, a big part of Kelis’ job and to that end she admits she was “scared to death” about the weight she gained while pregnant with Knight. With a sense of determination to reclaim her pre-baby body, however, Kelis recalls thinking that “there was no way I wasn’t losing that weight…absolutely no way!”

Her approach to maternity fashion was equally fierce. Noting that “[pregnancy] is not the most ideal physical situation,” Kelis nonetheless says that it need not be used as an excuse to let yourself go.

“It’s amazing when you can be both beautiful and pregnant. Because of the discomfort, I think a lot of women just give up. But I never gave up. My hair and nails were always done and I was always wearing something bright and shiny, made me feel better. I think that’s important.”

That said, Kelis says she has no plans to revisit her maternity wardrobe! “I think I pulled myself together pretty well but I don’t know if I’d wear [those outfits] again,” she explains. “I just looked like a nice pregnant lady (laughs). Am I running to put that sh-t back on now? No!”

Sarah Jessica Parker Dishes on Her 'Divided House'

Bryan Bedder/Getty Images

A womb is just about all twins Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, 5 ½ months, have ever had in common, according to mom Sarah Jessica Parker.

The 44-year-old actress proclaimed the girls “about as un-identical as twins can be” during a Tuesday visit to the Late Show with David Letterman, citing their differences “physically, intellectually, spiritually, geographically, politically, ideologically and religiously.” Sarah Jessica went on to joke,

“One of them is a Republican, which is weird. But we have Mets and Yankees fans in our house too, so we’re used to a divided house.”

There isn’t much division between son James Wilkie, 7, and the twins thus far. Describing her firstborn as “very hospitable” to his new baby sisters, Sarah Jessica says that James has at times been both “amused” and “annoyed” by Loretta and Tabitha — but the former usually wins out over the latter.

That much was evident recently when Sarah Jessica was wondering aloud about whether the girls would someday attend the same school as their big brother. “James Wilkie was gobsmacked,” Sarah Jessica recalled. “He said, ‘They have to come — I have to know they’re downstairs…if I’m in the 9s they’ll be in the 2s.’”

“I said, ‘So you like them?’ And he concurred. Then he said he would be very upset if he ever heard anyone making fun of them, that it was his right to make fun of them. And I said, ‘Remember that about your mother.’”

The affection James feels for the girls is mutual. Tabitha, according to Sarah Jessica, thinks that her big brother “hung the moon.” She adds,

“Her head can turn literally 360 degrees to follow him anywhere….she’s really, really smitten.”

However, it is his other sister that James shows the most affinity for. “He named her Marion because he really wanted a Marion and I really wanted a Loretta and I wanted to respect his wishes,” Sarah Jessica explains.

“In the hospital, he said to me, ‘I want to see it on the legal document.’ He calls her Marion (whispers) but nobody else does. But he likes her best and I think it’s because she looks like him.”

Loretta, Tabitha and James are Sarah Jessica’s children with husband Matthew Broderick.
