In a bit of life-imitating-art, The Young and the Restless star Christel Khalil Hensley is expecting a baby — just like her character on the long-running CBS soap opera.
The 22-year-old actress is due in April with a baby boy.
Baby-on-the-way will be the first child for Christel and husband Stephen Hensley, who were married in September 2008.

Congratulations!! But Y&R fans, help me out here! I thought Mac was having Cane and Lily’s baby? Are Lily and Mac both pregnant now? (or will be..?)

Natasha – Mac is being a surrogate for Lily & Cane, but Lily isn’t pregnant. I don’t think Lily is able to conceive on Y&R (though this is a soap, so I guess that could change)

Thanks Carolyn! I guess if Christel’s pregnant, Lily could be in the future! I’m not sure what the point of the Mac being a surrogate storyline is then (unless the actress that plays Mac is pregnant too).

It would be a miracle if Lily became pregnant because she had a full hysterectomy after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She harvested eggs before the operation and that’s why Mac is carrying the baby/ies. Wow, I know too much about this stuff!

congrats to her and maybe on the show Lily has a history of trouble getting or staying pregnant so her and cane are using a surrogate of course there’s also a surrogate on All My Children at the moment for which couple I can’t remember

Congrats to Christel and her husband on their new baby! I actually wondered if she might be pregnant b/c I saw a pic of the two of them at the Y&R Christmas party last week, and I thought I saw a little hint of a baby bump. I couldn’t tell for sure if it was the dress, the angle of the pic or what, so it’s awesome to know I was right! 
I love her on Y&R and I’m thrilled for her to become a mom on and off-screen!

it is if it’s a particial hysterectomy but usually that would be a full so it wouldn’t be possible congrats again to Crystal and her husband for the birth of their first child in the coming months

I was so excited to hear that one of my favorite actresses on The Y&R was expecting a baby boy in April. I too am pregnant with a baby boy and expecting April 19th. I will be even much more exciting if we were to give birth on the same day!

i just watched the young and the restless and i’m like, “is she expecting” because it seems she put on weight and then i’ve read that she’s actually expecting. Congrats to the happy couple:)

I had to do a search to see if Lily was pregnant! On today’s episode, I noticed she looked a bit heavier and was shielding her belly with a baby toy. Wonder if her baby will play one of her twins on the show!? Neat! I just love her and Cane!

Yes I thought Lily (or Chrstal in real life), looked pregnant lately, she looks so round and plump and always hiding her “stomach:, now on the show, she’ll probably go away for a few months, for a miracle cure for her cancer, while she has the baby in real life, then come back fully cured and be a mom to her twins.
